Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

Beautiful. This Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly (Phoebis sennae) beauty was in our backyard on our bamboo this week.
I'm heading to Spain so my Tree House in the Adirondacks is open for AirBnB stays (gorgeous pre-mosquito spring season) from 4/24 - 5/3. Hiking, biking, paddling, 7 acres of woods to explore, an EV charger. 😊

Mikisew Cree First Nation Billy-Joe Tuccaro spoke about the impact that toxic chemicals leaching and spilling from the oil sands is having on his people.
Every Canadian should listen to what he has to say.

Hungary election results live: Orbán concedes to Magyar's Tisza after projections show opposition winning two-thirds majority #Hungary #Democracy #NoKings #EU

Orban getting shellacked after JD Vance campaigned for him has to be sending shockwaves through the far right US enclaves that have embraced Hungarian style authoritarianism. Voters want good government and affordability more than they want conspiracy theories.
Thank you

I moved from Southern Ontario to Ottawa to attend U of Ottawa because I wanted to become fluent in French. When I got there people made fun of me when I tried to speak French & gave me a hard time as an anglophone. I left after 1sr & enrolled at McMaster for 2nd yr. Its broken, dysfunctional
Thanks for the share.
Thanks for having the courage to dig into these news bites more than the average. These are great questions that need to be top of everyone's minds right now.

My parents neigbor is from one of these families. He is in his 80s now.
A group of about fifteen men gathered outside a large canvas tent. Several sit on the ground in the front row while others kneel or stand behind them. Most wear work clothes such as button-up shirts, trousers, and tall boots. One man in the front row wears a suit jacket and tie, while another has a bow tie. Two men stand with arms crossed near the tent entrance. A small tree stands on the left side of the image, and the tent has a triangular vent near the top with a rope hanging down. The ground is covered with grass and dirt, suggesting a temporary outdoor camp or work site.

Zero police officers beaten
Zero police officers killed
Zero feces smeared on walls.
