Sending my condolences to the family of the person lost in the parking garage collapse and I hope our brave and dedicated rescue workers find the two still missing. This is a tragedy and we are mourning as a city today.

I want to thank our brave first responders for their quick response to the scene of yesterday's plane crash. Thankfully, there were only minor injuries and minimal damage. My thoughts are with everyone affected by the scene and hope for a smooth and fast recovery for all.
I've just learned of the plane crash in our neighborhood tonight.
Sending prayers that there are no serious injuries. I will continue to provide updates as more information comes in.
We’re taking concerns about Legionnaires’ disease seriously and working with public health officials to keep our community informed and safe. Clear communication and a strong response are critical as we monitor the situation. repneilson.com
With literacy programs, children aren’t just learning new words; they are learning comprehension and critical thinking skills. Reading introduces them to new concepts, enhances creativity, and encourages them to think outside the box.

It's important to acknowledge the strides we've made in our transit systems throughout the state & where improvement is needed. More funding is needed for mass transit, especially ride-sharing programs that help our seniors & disabled communities. youtube.com/shorts/Mrcma...
Doesn’t matter where you live across the commonwealth, someone is reliant on mass transit in some way. From getting to work, school, or doctor’s appointments, planes, trains & buses keep our lives moving. youtube.com/shorts/KFWTO...

Thankful to work with Gov. Shapiro & PA Secretary of Transportation, Mike Carroll to secure funding that saves lives and makes our roads safer for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
With these additional parking spaces and even more to come, I’m thankful that the Shapiro administration recognized the issue and followed through on the commitment to solve it.
The lack of safe spaces for truck drivers to park and complete rest requirements has been a longstanding issue in Pennsylvania and nationwide.

PA has a high rate of infection when it comes to Legionnaires' Disease - my legislation will spread awareness, require vigorous testing protocols and adopt regulations to minimize the growth of Legionella bacteria to combat Legionnaires' Disease.

I'm grateful for a governor who refuses to sit on the sidelines. Real leadership means getting it done when others won't. Thank you, Gov. Shapiro, for stepping up for SEPTA riders. repneilson.com #SEPTA

This project created over 14,300 direct and indirect jobs in the region, and the finished terminal will continue to benefit Western PA for years to come.
The new terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) officially opens today! Last week, I had the pleasure of doing a final walkthrough with PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll, Senator Judy Ward, and Rep. Kerry Benninghoff.
As a longtime advocate for Dyslexia awareness, it was heartening to see so many come out in support.
This week in Harrisburg, I joined advocates in recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month. My first bill ever signed into law was in 2014 to create the Dyslexia Screening and Early Literacy Intervention Program.
This new terminal will provide convenient, reliable, and accessible air travel service throughout the region.
Advancing aviation is a bipartisan goal, and I thank Senator Judy Ward and PIT for inviting us!
The House and Senate Transportation Committees recently toured the newly constructed terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).
As one of the largest airports in PA, about 10 million passengers travel through PIT every year.
This is the exact reason that House Democrats fought for a long-term, comprehensive funding plan for public transit across the commonwealth.
If funding transit in all 67 counties is not part of the conversation - we will be down this road again.
While I’m thankful that the NTSB identified the problem posing risks to public safety and SEPTA is acting quickly to inspect and remove affected railcars.

This week, I had the opportunity to meet the hardworking men and women that work behind the scenes at PRT's Manchester Garage. They're dedicated workers who make sure that every vehicle is safe and up to standards. Thank you for all your hard work!
