This is disgusting...

81 years ago today, Allied forces were dying on the beaches of Normandy to defeat fascism. Let that sink in...
3 days back home in the North Carolina mountains. Got in a little trail runnin' and a little beer drinkin' on the front porch...
Awesome work!
Yep, so sick of hearing folks say how "weird" the weather is with absolutely no acknowledgement of climate change. When I say it, they seem confused...smh
Yesterday's run a mixed bag. Tight hamstrings and hips, never hit my stride. Loved running in the gentle rain. No one else was out. Anybody else like running in mucky weather?
Easy 7 miles today. This week, I've run just over 20 miles, which is something I've never done before. Pretty happy about that! Spring is bustin' out! Made some noise yesterday at a Hands Off rally. Running to stay sane and strong in the dark times we're facing here in the United States. Hold fast!
Beautiful and mysterious...
Wow! What a great view!
They are lovely! Hope y'all are well. Love seeing the children all grown up!
Nice 4 miles today. Spring in North Carolina is as beautiful as ever. Working on form and running with ease while maintaining my pace. I'm bad to get inside my head sometimes...group run tomorrow on a new trail!
Well done!
Ran Friday and Saturday. The woods here are waking up and the red buds remain so lovely. Cricket was hoping for a bite of breakfast this morning.
Happy, happy day!
Beautiful!
Sounds pretty shitty to me...
Sweet 4.5 miles of single-track this evening. Barred owl was calling through the trees. Carolina wren was fussing. I was cruisin'...

It's a great day to protest the Trump/Musk plan to gut our public services. Hold fast!
What a great way to explore! Enjoy your holiday.
Hey, y'all! Want to share my excitement that I have found a trail running group! Sadly, none of my peeps are runners, so I'm always solo running. It's a friendly crowd, and all paces are welcome. Psyched to run with them again on Wednesday evening!
Beautiful 7 miles by the lake. Red bud trees are blooming. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Absolutely!
Depends on the run. The Clash, Sex Pistols, Pretenders when I'm feeling badass. Notorious BIG and Naughty by Nature and a little Snoop other days. Rump Shaker is great for setting a pace. Easy days could be Sade or Norah Jones. Gotta have music...
4 miles of zone 2. Overcast , low 60s. Great way to close out a Saturday. This rock reminded me of Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, a book I read every year to my first graders. I always ask them what they would wish for, and I love their whimsy and altruism: to be a mermaid, to feed everyone.
Those are beautiful! I love to make pies, but I only bake them when we have dinner guests. Too tempting...
I love running because it clears my mind, keeps my body strong, and teaches me that I can keep going: all things I need to persevere in resisting the Trump/Musk/MAGA Republican debacle. Hold fast!
Seriously...wtf?!?!
Spring break...spent the entire morning finishing up my first graders' report cards and grabbed a nap. Now a lovely late afternoon run by the lake. A couple of nice hills. Didn't intend to do any speed work, but Naughty by Nature popped into my playlist, and I was done for...lol
Happy birthday!
That name though...
