Oh, this is fabulous! I didn't realize you did visual art. The tall and narrow dimensions of the piece are really successful in letting the heron serpent get a good LOOM in over the hero, and I love the contrast between the torchlit area (black outlines) vs darkness (white outlines).

Masking works but we have known for years that there's a greater reduction in transmission when the person who is sick wears a mask vs when healthy people around them mask. There's only so much you can do or expect when you're 2 feet away from someone who's ill and sneezing for multiple hours.

ok so like if you absolutely must fly when you're sick can you at least wear a mask? I will probably not be at Norwescon this weekend bc I took a flight last week and, though I was masked, the man sneezing in the row behind me for the whole flight was not and now I'm sick too

In my sections: 'universal empathy' in the introduction, the reader being threatened by the air elemental narrator in the air intro, & the floating tent in the air items (a nod to this kinda goofy but iconic planar tent found in D&D3e Planar Adventures that will live in my head rent free forever)

The Astral and Ethereal collect and reflect the outer and inner planes like prisms, shining them into the Material and creating a rainbow kaleidoscope realm where you see and have and understand and feel all the infinite possibilities. The Material Plane the most beautiful plane in the Multiverse.
