A big chunk of the problem is that I don't feel compelled to use any current social platform.

They've become so linear. So oral. They demmand the mental commitment of in-person small talk with a fraction of the social return of talking to a person.

I've grown resentful of the internet's current state. Of how much it relies on compulsion while imposing layer after layer of friction.
