I think the Ruby ecosystem around ATProto might still kinda suck… if i do start writing this, i'd probably use it as my excuse to finally learn some fucking Rust

is anybody already building something like Untappd or BeerAdvocate but on ATProto? or should i?

this one was $20 and their reuben is $22. it’s stacked but i also wouldn’t say it’s a _huge_ sandwich. price felt reasonable to me given how good it tasted but i’m also willing to spend a lot on food lol

i think this trumped anything i ever had at Kenny & Zuke’s tbh. this cross section doesn’t do the sandwich its full justice because i drove it home, so the exposed bits got a little oxidized and brown. the inside was still perfectly rosy. also i got both corned beef and pastrami; incredible flavor

you do not have to hand it to tucker carlson or marjorie taylor greene or alex jones or megyn kelly. they're all rats who see trump as a sinking ship and they're getting ready to jump in preparation for their next act. you do not have to fall for it.

Why do Anthropic engineers talk to Claude as a witch-doctor to his potions? How is prompt engineering like spider divination? Can one reason without reasons?

🚨New preprint and our results are rather concerning..

We find the "boiling frog" equivalent of AI use. Using large-scale RCTs, we provide *casual* evidence that AI assistance reduces persistence and hurts independent performance.

And these effects emerge after just 10–15 minutes of AI use!

i had to remove the opengraph image from my website on non-post pages because it was just my pfp and seeing it inflated and zoomed in as a horizontally-framed embed is just so weird and bad

crazy that we’re just supposed to keep maximizing shareholder value while WWIII kicks off, but yeah let’s all have a great Q2

i’ve been trying to do some job hunting and this has been making it fucking miserable. like i have no idea what’s even out there anymore for people like me who don’t want to accept AI as the status quo. and like, i know we’re not alone, so… where’s everyone else? can we just find jobs together lol 😭

if you don’t like how unethically this tech is developed, you can say no. the industry is making that painful, and it might mean fewer job opportunities in tech while the insanity continues, but you CAN actually say no if you truly care

hi friends, this is just your friendly reminder that this still isn’t true. you CAN still avoid coding LLMs if you want to. it’s getting more difficult in the current tech industry job market, but unavoidable is a stretch.
