Two orange petaled fasciated sunflower heads from many fused blossoms. The two are strange balls of sunflower petals, typical center type growth, and green flower calixes smushed together in balls.

Loved this fasciated sunflower.🌱

Centered against a blurred earth-toned background of mostly-dry mixed vegetation is a spherical inflorescence consisting of dozens of five-petaled flowers raining in color from pale pink to lavender to light blue, the stamens of which protrude further than the corolla. Weaving its way through these flowers, an Ornate Checkered Beetle wantonly gorges itself on pollen. Its body is black tinged with an iridescent blue tone and has tiger-like yellow transverse markings across its elytra which are divided by a black line down the suture. Fine and sparse orange hairs on its body complete its gaudy appearance.
