👏 The installation of Dame Sarah Mullally marks the beginning of a renewal within the Church - the good kind of renewal based on love, respect, and care for creation. I’m daring to dream that this new era may bring about more change in the religious (and secular) sphere!

Thank you to Bristol’s Interfaith Group for such a clear, united statement that this march does not represent them or the faith communities they serve.
Bristol will not fall for Islamophobia masquerading as unity.

Well, that was fun! Sitting in the audience of #bbcqt was not what I was expecting only an hour after debating in my ‘Religious Challenges’ seminar, but it goes to show how good discussions can happen anywhere, amongst many groups of people.
And, of course, #fionabruce is a total legend, too!
Dear university administrators, politicians of good will, and the general public, we need the field of religious studies more now than we have ever.
Just a regular reminder that the ENTIRE premise behind the draconian and militaristic immigration enforcement we have been witnessing the past year is based on an empirically disproven lie.

I was proud to receive a letter and rosary from Pope Francis after speaking with him about youth in the Church.
It meant so much to feel listened to; he cared so much about the future of the world. Whilst the Church is far from perfect, I am grateful for his efforts for modernisation.

Word of the day is ‘bugiard’ (17th century): one who distorts the truth beyond all recognition to fit their own agenda.
"History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for."
