Make America Grift Again: The Fix Is In The real suckers and losers of the second Trump Administration are you, the American taxpayers.

Waging a new war is part of the scheme to enrich the Trump family. It's no coincidence that Don Jr, Eric, and Jared Kushner have been making massive investments in the Middle East. Trump has turned the presidency into a personal ATM while your grocery bill, rent, and hospital costs keep climbing.

The fall of the Republic in 24 days How America Lost Its Soul in Less Than a Month

Our rights are being eroded at an alarming rate. Today's execution of Alex Pretti, another innocent US citizen by our tyrannical government inspired me to write a new piece about the decaying of our civil liberties and rights. An injury to one is an injury to all!

The U.S. raid into Venezuela to snatch President Nicolás Maduro wasn't just a headline grab, signaling that the unspoken rule against kidnapping foreign leaders is no longer off limits. It empowers other strongman authoritarians to do the same, jeopardizing the U.S.

The Decimation of the American Presidency: A Call to Action for Michigan (all) Democrats

Democracy is crumbling, but ‘YOU ARE THE DEMOCRATS’—you've been waiting for, not a distant savior. Your local political work—from school boards to state races—is our last defense against authoritarianism. Rallies and protests are not enough. We must lead now before democracy’s light is extinguished.

The Perils of Political Brinkmanship McConnell may piss off the Democratic and Progressive base - but... his pragmatism is not wrong. Beyond the raw emotion of anger, we still need to govern for the people and protect workers.

Here is a piece I wrote last night and published this afternoon before this evening’s CR vote. I realize that among my liberal and progressive peers-, angry at a means to resist and fight back that this is going to be an #UnpopularOpinion. #NoApologies

1 Dead After a Cybertruck Explodes Outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas (Gift Article) At least seven people were injured, the authorities said. Videos posted to social media appeared to show a vehicle engulfed in flames outside the lobby’s entrance.

While I don’t want to make light of this tragedy for the families of those hurt or killed by Tesla- it is a ominous entry into 2025 and The Elonia Musk regime and shadow presidency that is seeking to deregulate Tesla and consumer protections.

President Carter had been a guiding figure and role model for my political life as an adult. Do the hard things that needed to be done to lift people up and help people- even when no one is looking. #GoodnightMrPresident #Godspeed

He was the earliest political figure that I remember in my lifetime. As a 7 or 8 year old- I remember telling my (Republican) dad that I liked Jimmy Carter. Incredulously he asked, ”why?” I remember my innocent answer- that I liked that he was always smiling. I liked his smile.

Most importantly, most of his work to help others was done outside of public office and most-often away from press and cameras. He dedicated his life to others without credit or ego. He did the hard things that needed to be done.

A life well lived. President Carter gave all of himself to make a world better for those to follow him. He was not the most popular… often ridiculed. But, he served as a shining example of what every American should aspire to: grace, humility, hard work, and compassion for others.

Define, “control”. The presidency? That is one leg of a three-legged stool. It, alone, controls nothing. Sure there were a 2 yrs of House and Senate control under Obama- that he used for the ACA… and 2 yrs under Biden, that he used for the post-COVID Rescue Plan & Infrastructure Plan.

I call bullshit! This is a narcissist’s attempt to draw attention to him (and away from President-elect Elonia). Bezos could start his “philanthropy” by acknowledging his workers, allowing them to organize without his union-busting tactics, and giving his workers a fair contract. Start there, first.

Trump campaign won’t pay $49,000 in bills for Grand Rapids rallies The city of Grand Rapids says the Donald J. Trump for President 2024 campaign has refused to pay more than $49,000 in bills for two rallies in the city this year.

I am sure that this will surprise exactly no one. Grand Rapids, MI is a midsized Midwest city, not a huge city that can absorb these costs to subsidize a political campaign. I pay my tax dollars for the city services that my community needs. Not for a scab that doesn’t believe in paying his bills.

The annual median income in 1970 was $15,060. Adjusted for inflation, the AMI should be at $122,457.
The current AMI is $59,229; the average worker has lost $63,328 per year- more than they earn. #RespectWorkers #TheSystemIsRigged
