A woman is sitting up in a bed, light is shining on her through curtains. She has her knees drawns up and is hugging her and looking worried.
Sarah Harrow, 38, who thinks through her every action with the strategic neuroticism of a moral philosopher, is unfortunately not in control of how other people react to her.

It’s a settled point that housing and a bit of basic income is cheaper than punishment but the US thinks it’s being soft on crime to help people, and there are people who make money on prisons and punishment

This is a horror game about a cursed 90s CD-ROM that kills people.
if Tim Curry had only blessed us with this speech it would have been enough, but he has given us so much more

Happy 80th birthday to Tim Curry who has always, *always* understood the assignment.
“chose to leave the games industry” about someone laid off who can’t land a new job feels so slimy and dishonest. is it really a choice when they have to somehow pivot their career elsewhere because nobody is hiring? they didn’t choose to leave, their last employer dumped them out of the industry
I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

Hexxus is voiced by Tim Curry, and he does what he does best: youtu.be/4VOsfbaddsM
But the real question is, "Will Hexxus be as horny as he was in the original?" 🤔😁
This seems like a thing a lot of people on here would really care about.

A heron fishes atop the Nanzen-ji aqueduct.
One of the most unusual remnants of the Lake Biwa Canal is a very European looking aqueduct, the 'suirokaku' (水路閣), almost concealed within the leafy precincts of Nanzen-ji (南禅寺)🌉💦

everything about DOGE was fucking wildly illegal and everyone involved in it should spend time in prison and have their assets seized
I saw the trailer for the new Wishbone documentary and was about to post how grateful I was to grow up with Wishbone.
But then I remembered that I could drive a car when Wishbone was on the air.
I still never missed an episode, and I'm still grateful.
Tangentially related: I'm curious to see how many single moms are in the industry. I don't think I'm the only one, but I really don't know many (or any) others...
So the big studios are abandoning the US and turning the staff workers into contractors to get out paying for healthcare.
The United States is losing one of its defining industries because of not having universal healthcare and the people are going to be even more vulnerable to the industry.
Congrats!
Here's a fun Q&A I did with Boston Post Mortem a while back. Some interesting questions and a smart audience. I had a blast doing it!
TurboTax and H&R Block spent $7 million lobbying the Trump administration to kill Direct File.
Both companies donated to Trump's 2024 campaign and inauguration committees.

Disappointed, though not surprised, I began to describe various life- saving components of USAID’s global health portfolio, highlighting how we prepare for and respond to emerging pandemic threats; support the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, malaria, and HIV; and immunize millions of children from the deadliest childhood diseases. I spoke for about five minutes, focusing primarily on our infectious diseases work and hoping to keep the attention of people who seemed to have no experience—or interest—in global health. When I finished, the room was silent, the political appointees looking at one another in what appeared to be disbelief. The silence was broken by Ken Jackson, who chuckled softly and shook his head. “Wow, there really is so much that USAID does that we never knew,” he said. “This is the story that needs to get out there.” Joel, also smiling, chimed in next, echoing Jackson’s amazement. “I had no idea you did all this,” he said. “As a Republican, when I think of what USAID does in global health, I assumed it was just, you know, abortions.”
