She proceeded to become my favorite of my female characters. She went from just a one off for fun character to one who has. SO MUCH more depth to her now and brings so much joy to me :3

oc that I was pairing with another character. Now she has her own full blown story with a name and music and writing and a ton of art. She helped me break the last little bits of that "you should be afraid to be who you are" that I had and made it easier for me to accept being nonbinary! Meanwhile-

- have female ocs! I still had some, but some weird bits left over from thinking I was a 100% masc transman made me feel weirdly dysphoric about having female characters I hypefixated on. Nami started out with they/she pronouns and looking like that first image. She was just a silly little minecraft

Nami is always my favorite to think about with this question because she changed so much in the span of a year and some change that it makes me :3!
Her design didn't change a ton, but the changes were super important to me mentally. Due to Reasons I'd had a long time where I was a little afraid to-

after the few months i've had i'm so genuinely afraid to hope for things or want for things so i'm sitting here torn between my natural state of dog-like excitement over possibly joining something cool and absolute fear that it - like many things - is going to be ripped from my hands
