Why are all mainstream parties and the media in lockstep pushing for ever more defence spending?
Two reasons, neither is really about keeping you safe.

You just don't see pics like this from Labour, Tories or Reform. No stiff poses or forced smiles.
The Greens are doing something the other parties can't do anymore. They look like human beings who genuinely like each other. In a landscape full of robots, that lands differently than any announcement
Governments including the UK are rushing to copy Australia's teen social media ban.
In Australia? 61% of 12-15 year olds are still on the banned platforms. It didn't work. You won't hear much about that, doesn't suit the narrative.
Regulate the platforms. Ban the harm, not the kids.
2/ ...are Reform and Tory voters. Labour is voluntarily stepping onto their ground, fighting their battle, on their terms. Handing Farage airtime and a culture war distraction right before May 7th. Exactly what he wanted.
1/ Labour picking a Brexit fight weeks before local elections is a strategic gift to Farage and the Tories.
Most voters now think Brexit was a mistake. They don't need relitigating it, they need fixing the NHS, their bills and their wages. The ones who still care passionately about Brexit..
Labour have destroyed themselves, their time is over. The Greens will replace themselves. After the next General Election, Labour will no longer be a major party.

I can't express enough how seriously to take the post below. We're in the calm before the storm. EVEN IF the Straits of Hormuz open up tomorrow, the damage means it will take years to get back to "normal". Also the longer it is before they reopen, the worse things will be.
😂😂
This is MASSIVE! The Greens beat Reform in Farage's heartland of Kent. Labour 4th proving they're no contender vs Reform.
It's Reform vs the Greens in May, pick a side.
Starmer is the greatest political con trick ever inflicted on the British people…
Most people are angry with the cost of living crisis and two party status quo. DeformUK offers the masses nothing, they are recycled Tories, but there is another way. #VoteGreen 💚
Starmer has set up the King for total humiliation. Charles’ state visit is due in the US April 27-30. That’s just after the end of the two week ceasefire. So he’s either there for Trump’s victory lap or while the US commits more war crimes. Another Starmer own goal.
This is John Healey, a Labour MP and the Defence Minister. He is 66 years old and has now suddenly discovered that Russia maybe spying on us. Please offer your thoughts and prayers for John at this difficult time for him.
😂😂
This is why national politics matter for the local elections. Labour refuses to reverse Tory austerity. So councils are drowning in cuts and deficits.
We have the money 50 families in Britain own more wealth than half the entire population. We just need to tax it fairly.

It's now been 3 hours since our supposed "ally" Donald Trump threatened genocide on a country of 93 million people.
We've had absolutely nothing from the UK government.
This doesn't come in a vacuum either - every day the US & Israel have been murdering innocent people.
On Russia targeting Ukraine's energy grid:
Von der Leyen "A war crime."
Starmer "It only deepens our support."
Both completely silent as the US targets Iran's energy grid. Total hypocrisy, no principles.
Over 100 US legal experts call the strikes on Iran war crimes, strikes launched from UK bases. Trump is threatening to bomb power plants and bridges. More war crimes.
It stops if Starmer says no. He has the power and the legal obligation. He has no excuse.

Labour are looking at an apocalypse in May. One Labour minister said ‘there were “no safe seats” for Labour, adding that they feared it was going to be a “bloodbath”.’’ Make sure you vote to make this happen.
For the 1,000 time, North Sea oil is sold on globally at market prices.
The only way pumping more could lower prices for us is if we nationalise the energy companies and take our oil off the market.
I'm all ears if Badenoch and Farage want to have that conversation😉
Israeli military courts convict 99% of Palestinians who appear before them, and rights groups say they fail to meet even minimum standards of justice or independence.

We could've phased out fossil fuels the gradual, smart and painless way starting in the 1990s
The fossil fuel industry decided we have to do it the painful, unfair and cruel way instead. because that gave them an extra few decades of super-profits
Labour's big NHS achievement, cutting waiting lists is a con.
They're not treating more people. They're ordering GPs to block one in four hospital referrals to make the numbers look better. They're not fixing the NHS. They're rigging the stats while patients go untreated.
May 7th. Enough. 🗳️
This is how safe the NHS is in Labour's hands:
- Cutting 1,000 specialist doctors, this will make queues longer
- Limiting referrals for hospital to make the waiting list figure look good
Labour is no longer the party of the NHS. Only the Greens will reinvest in it.
