Oh yeah I’m instinctually against it, but I’ll admit I’ve not thought it through.
Ah, there it is

…could be worse?
Saw a screenshot of the amendment with an exception for medical devices and some other exceptions that seemed to leave enough wriggle room for a sack full of caterpillars, if schools wanted it. So hopefully there’s been some thought. As to whether it’s a good idea off base, well…
Banksy is a collective rather than a person, and it's at least partially a Massive Attack side project
The BBC caused Brexit by platforming Farage (fairly uncontroversial) not on purpose but in a bungled attempt to split the right wing vote.
LCARS is actually really bad for document management and there's a bootleg WordPerfect program for the holodeck
I’ll never get over the fact that Andrex’s entire fortune is based on the marketing ploy “as soft as wiping your arse on a puppy!”
my gen Z coworker watched Rocky Horror for the first time and came to my office to let me know that she is not sure she understood what message it was sending

I feel like you can replace "psychedelics" here with the cultural form of your choice: reading/watching/listening anything, any way you like, is not a de facto short cut to empathy. For every LOTR reader who will carry you into Mordor, there's one who will create Palantir.
I'm not sure if this counts as an easy weeknight dinner, but you can bash it out in about 45 mins and it's pretty tasty.

Melville: listen
Melville: if there's one thing that i know in this world with 100% certainty
Melville: a truth i know as sure as day follows night
Melville: not an iota of doubt in my heart
Melville: it's that whales are fish
BREAKING: Claude Mythos discovers 60-year old computing bug, PEBCAK, that's been silently plagued the tech industry for years. It suggests resolving it by eliminating the entity in the middle and replacing it with a more efficient model.
Oh god. That’s Rogger from the timeline where he stayed in Darlington, drives a mini cab, and doesn’t understand why he hates his wife.
OneDrive opened up today and chose violence
This is simply not true. Labour didn’t have to go right. They *chose* to go right. The big majority was a chance to reset everything back to sanity. Starmer chose the mad, bigoted, ignorant and dishonest route instead.
It's Sunday, I'm at a loose end, so that can only mean one thing.
No, not going to the pub. Well, ok, I am later, but that's not the - look, it's a recipe, ok. I cooked a thing.
Here. Sheesh.

“We need to be kinder to the people who wish for our extermination” is a position.

This one is modular, with notes at the end for variations around the base sauce, which is a fun time.

Yeah for sure. This is the most undecided I’ve been in a long time.
The other day, someone commenting on the US situation with progressives rejecting the Democrats, asked "can the system receive the signal you're trying to send?", and and with UK Labour I just don't know. Is it worth risking a great local councillor to send a message that won't be understood?
I'm really torn this year.
(I do remain low-key convinced that "economically centre right and socially progressive in a way that won't scare the nans" is basically the policy agenda that Britain craves in its soul, for better or ill, and is what we'd have had for decades but for right wing media capture.)
Wittering about Lib Dem electability, I use the phrase "the taint of the coalition", and pause, realising we have a new nickname for David Cameron.
The fact that our (very good!) local Labour councillor is sending campaign letters basically pleading for us not to use the local elections to punish the national party when she can’t do anything about their horrible politics is quite a mood.
