My main takeaway from this lead photo and the one on the previous write up is that he looks a little too much like Colin Farrell in the Penguin makeup

I have spent my entire adult life being lectured by Republican politicians and conservative legal movement types about how important it is to preserve the sacred constitutional right to self-defense of *specifically this person* and then secret police murdered him in the street
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."
Absolutely played for the falcons
Colbert will be all right, maybe even better off. The world's his oyster and I'm sure MSNBC and Netflix will come calling. He could stand up the biggest late night YouTube channel in days. But they are just torching the Late Show, an institution, solely to appease a dictator. And that fucking sucks.
My favorite Japandroids track
My latest newsletter is about how tech companies, by pushing generative AI, reveal the contempt they hold for their users and society at large.

āThe true solution, perhaps, is more solidarity and more sincerity.ā
The rainbow is not a symbol of condemnation, but of patience, of God revealing creation will have a role in creating itself, and of God choosing renewal over destruction
All God commands as part of this rainbow deal: Don't hurt anybody, because everybody is precious

Further warming the waters where we find the fish and invertebrates to document on your platform to keep track of populations being hurt by warming waters. Fantastic work by whatever managerial idiots that have wormed their way to the top of an ostensibly science focused service for a quick buck

I felt a little bad from the deception but all told this was probably about 5 minutes. Canāt wait for the first painting from these photos!!
Iāll admit, I heard it in the distance and played a song from Merlin twice to see if it would show itself. It then proceeded to hang out and fly around inches from my head often perching a foot or more away. I guess it pinpointed exactly where the song had come from.
I had a couple pretty good bird photos from the weekend to share but then experienced an all-time photoshoot with an extremely curious and un-afraid prothonotary warbler.

Thank you so much!!
She is the first kingfisher Iāve ever gotten a clear photo of! Perched on a little, scrubby island in the middle of a pond on Berryās mountain campus, she actually chose to just yell at me rather than fly off which gave me time for some shots. (2/2)
āNot A Swanā 9x12 (2025) | Getting caught up on posting art here! I photographed this juvenile female belted kingfisher at Swan Lake, Berry College right at the end of the year on Dec. 31. (1/2) #painting #art #scientificillustration #watercolor
