Watching birds overhead, I saw a buzzard,
then a few more circling, drawn by Death.
The innocuous #rook did me in that day,
dropping a live snake on my shoulder.
Venom flowed in as blood leaked out,
& I fell prostrate, weak, losing life,
watching buzzards watch me die.
