Oddly, 6-7 isn’t really a thing here

It was. And I stayed an extra day to do the Maid of the Mist cruise and the Cave of the Winds
I did manage to take three vacation days of from school, thanks to a crazy arbitration thing a couple years ago, to get to the World Fantasy Convention in Niagara Falls.
It wasn't WorldCon but I knew the people running it so I knew it'd be good, and I'd never been to Niagara Falls!

That was definitely the highlight reel!
Getting out for a bit tomorrow as well.

A funny thing about the villain on the cover of Yesterday's Villains
Someone on reddit drew that for me ... it's based on a picture of me.

Sigh ... I wish more of these things happened while I'm on summer vacation -- but then, NYC summer vacation doesn't exactly line up with the rest of the country anyway!

Nothing new, same old, same old
Here's books 4 and 5: Tomorrow's Heroes and Yesterday's Villains
Folks on #booktok seem to like the cover of Villains!

Not so much brutal as intrusive ... there was something every day that I could plan around, but I wasn't going anywhere far. Granted, the cold killed the idea of day trips anyway.

A5 Drop some stars on Good Reads?
Funny, I asked readers to join GR in a Tik Tok and another author commented with a "better" site, and she should know, she says, b/c she's a writer
I'm like, ok, you hate 'zon, but all the readers are on GR, and I've never heard of your thing

A4 Stop "gathering my thoughts" and just write already
I want to gather up some of my time-travel stories to see what I've done and then write a couple of new, but not too similar, ones.
This will be the first in a new series of themed collections.

A3 A couple things
The Brooklyn Cyclones home opener at Coney Island -- I expected a chill, and it was chillier, but my friend had a blanket.
Tuesday I did a Bourbon tour & tasting in Manhattan -- there is one active distillery.
Tomorrow, I'm meeting with some retired colleagues

A1 I managed to get out of the house a few times, but the vacation week was bespoiled by the return of the cold weather. Too low for too many walks or trips.
Plus, I wound up with appointments all week.

The submission log I created in Excel in 2019 has 350 submissions entered (new & reprint) with about 20 sales
A little over half of those were unpaid, but it's still more than I sometimes realized I've achieved so far.
Be a superhero to an indie author and read a few pages on Kindle Unlimited. It'll lift the spirits quicker than an alien artifact or a secret serum!

The image shows two books covers superimposed over a NASA image of the Crab Nebula. The captions say, "Tomorrow's Heroes are here today!" and "Whatever Happened to Yesterday's Villains?" The books are two in the Burke's Lore Briefs series, the two that deal with super-powered beings: #4: Tomorrow's Heroes, and #5: Yesterday's Villains.
Can Tomorrow's Heroes tacle Yesterday's Villains?
Small collections of super short stories and flash fiction

The majority of the stories are under 1500 words. Some have been expanded after talking with beta readers (or because I thought they weren't done).
Each of the Burke's Lore Briefs books are between 7-9K words with anywhere from 3 to 6 stories in them.
... how good it was buuuuuut ...
That last one was four submissions ago. I'm trying to find a likeminded editor for it
Life of a writer
I'm looking at my Submissions Log, checking on outstanding ms's.
One story is out for the 19th time, which would be bad, but in the past one rejection email called it "quite an introspective story" and another sent a long rejection stressing how it made it to the final round and

I request books on Libby
Occasionally they get one
A3 Some pages were read on KU
And I went to a meet and greet for the Brooklyn Cyclones where we watch some batting and fielding practice
#WeeknightWriters
Did the follow part!
#WeeknightWriters
And leave reviews!!!!!
A4 Enjoy my week off from school even just one day, and maybe have a neutral day
The rest will be cleaning shopping cooking etc
#WeeknightWriters
A5,well last week I joked about reading a few pages on KU
But then earlier this week, I made a plea on TikTok that got nearly 1000 views, which translates into about 40 pages, across two books
So I’ll ask again- Burke’s Lore Briefs 😀

It’s Christopher from Brooklyn and is it Thursday already?
I’m starting a series of flash fiction books for sci-fi similar to the 5 fantasy ones I created. But of course I need to have 1 first before I can have a series!

A5: Are you on Libby?
Check your library for A Bucket Full of Moonlight, and when they don’t have it, request a notification if they ever get a copy
If enough people ask, they might buy a book!

Wish I’d thought of that answer 2 years ago!
