- I like the versatility of woodless pencils and I also like that they're water soluble. They also blend without the wax bloom and have a really satisfying weight in the hand. They have some downsides too, but I enjoy using them a lot

Good question, I'm really liking the polychromos. I haven't given any line of caran d'ache much of a try and those seem to be their biggest competitor... But I think my favorite is actually one probably some people wouldn't agree with, Cretacolor Aqua Monolith - cont.

Absolutely, I had to get used to the way they layer versus prismas but it really allows for a more dimensional and rich color buildup

Polychromos are 🔥 - also, they don't do that "wax bloom" thing prismas tend to do after a while. I've watched a few in depth things about their lightfastness also and they are generally pretty impressive for the price point they sit at
