Seeing more and more Chinese EVs in Aus. Apparently they are pretty decent.

Awesome! We are working through the textbook in a journal club
Really a great piece, but none of the discussions of "boy kibble" touch upon its dark history. Yes, I'm talking about Stan Efferding's Monster Mash. Truly some of the most disturbing content on youtube (tw crimes against ribeye) youtu.be/fVNlaH_mcIY?...
While I generally agree with you on this, the words "f*cking millennial parents" might have passed my lips after a trans-Pacific flight full of school holidayers letting their kids run amok
Why was I 100% not surprised that Jorginho was at the center of this, and also that it was all BS?
“Woman yelling at a cat” is an Internet meme. It juxtaposes two images: on the left, a screen capture of "Malibu Beach Party from Hell", an episode from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, depicting cast member Taylor Armstrong crying and pointing (held back by Kyle Richards); and on the right, a picture uploaded to Tumblr in June 2018, depicting a white cat from Ottawa, Ontario, Smudge, sitting at a dinner table behind a salad with a seemingly bemused expression. This version has been edited to superimpose trumps angry screaming face over Taylor’s and the cat has been given a white pope mitre with a gold cross design.

Bitter reviewer rant alert! 🚨
Nothing kills the motivation to do review like being "uninvited" when you’re only two days late; especially after keeping the editor updated.
I’m nearly finished, I take the work seriously, and I’m doing it on top of a million other things 🙄

Still convinced that this will be one of the more important advances in medical imaging
So this is the defeat the US was willing to accept, but dressed it up as a last minute list of concessions from Iran. Got it.

If you dropped the needle on Dark Side of the Moon as soon as Artemis II went unreachable, flipped it perfectly at the end of side A, it would finish exactly when they reappeared [takes enormous bong rip]
Nectarine cake
I made @mehr.nz 's plum cake using nectarines, adding orange zest to the cake batter and using the maceration liquid as a glaze when it came out of the oven. 10/10 adding this to the rotation. Thanks Sam

One last thing. Find something you can do that isn't time consuming but is for you and isn't work or parenting. Exercise? Cooking? Darts? Doesn't matter. You'll feel like you don't have time for it, and you probably don't. But you'll be a better PI and a better parent and spouse.
The link from Nicole has tons of good advice, so I only add: a) think about what you need to do for tenure/promotion/perm post and prioritize that over everything else work wise. Some things will suffer. Badly. You'll get over it. And b) enjoy your kid/kids and partner.
