Yeah same. It is like the violence comes first and then they try to build a vague outline of a story after it. Also Love Sausage being reduced to a joke after being basically the only truly selfless hero in the comics (which are rough to read) was shit.

I have the same feeling as the live action The Boys. Need more than just cynical writing and over the top violence. I wish there were more superhero adaptations with the good animation Invincible has though.
