I had a belief when I was a kid that people lived until they blew out the candles on their 100th birthday cake and then immediately collapsed. I gave up on that belief when my great-grandfather lived until he was 107.

Welcome to the Living Lands! It's goofy, sometimes clunky, sometimes breathtaking but overall honest and earnest in being its own game. Can't wait to hear of your adventures!

The animancy stuff is really fun!

My jam, tho your character is an Imperial Envoy to a colony, is making all the anti-imperialist choices bc the NPCs are all like, oh you're not a jerk, that's refreshing, and anyone in power screams at my decisions, lol

Particularly, I enjoy that you can be a total goofball in your dialogue choices and there's one main conflict early on that if you resolve peacefully, numerous later NPCs reflect that in their interactions with you. So diplomacy actually has merit.

I think that comparisons to Skyrim and BG3 are unavoidable, however, there are a lot of game mechanics that I find incredibly refreshing and more fluid than the other two. The crafting is way more streamlined and you can't just spam it to level up. Everything has a function that's useful.

I'm really digging Avowed so far along with acknowledging that there is a need for a few patches, one of which has already been sent out.
One of the main companions is basically Billy Crystal but with poor timing due to having to cut to him saying the line, lol.

Other excuses they've given: "You're insurance says you're too old to take this med." "We don't have a record of you taking this med." "You shouldn't have gotten a message saying we filled your meds bc we haven't filled your meds." Linear time is not their concern.

Hy-Vee pharmacy exists outside of time and space. That's the only reason I can think of for them telling me in the morning they didn't get a refill notice from my docs, to the afternoon saying, quote, "we have no idea why this wasn't filled." Every month a battle to sync up timelines.
