I've stood beside him at the dinner buffet in the Koru Lounge twice. Seemed a bland little man. He had pretty bland food tastes (not like Scott Robertson who, on my recommendation, loaded his plate with the harissa relish π)

NZ Govt has taken a huge bet on fossil fuels. NZ was already spending $8 billion a year importing fossil fuels, and now the global fuel crisis is going to make that worse. Betting on fossil fuels has turned out to be a losing bet for NZ. This is the 14 point policy record of 2 years of the NZ Govt:

I woke with both cats and a dog in the bed with me. It's chilly
To date, my part of the motu has faired better than most in these weather related events, but then there were the earthquakes...
And some policies.
My home insurance has doubled in the last couple of years. It definitely makes one think!
π I'll have to find that one!
I watched six episodes. I particularly liked the hospital episode, and when Daddy complained about an LBW decision in the cricket. Very relatable :)
Giving it a go while I finish writing tomorrow's lecture
Screen reading 'Recommended for jo" under that the icon for kid's show Bluey
Updated TVNZ+ app and it has re-set my recommended viewing.... likely better for my mental health than the news.

They've done more than Labour so far, with their alternative budget and all that implies, but agree all the opposition parties need to start releasing policy statements etc.
I don't understand what's happened to the Green's support - it SHOULD be up. I think our best bet is ensuring our kids & their friends register & vote (speaking as the mum of an 18 year old). Green's policies seem a no brainer to most of them but many are apathetic about formal political processes.
How exactly would you describe that position in normal silly cricket terms? I'm thinking deep backward mid wicket-ish?
Although the disaffected are heading to NZ First, which is NOT an improvement.... I'd prefer that trend reversed
Well if he says it it must be true. He used to run an airline, you know.
Losing the election would also stuff that up for CL... even he must know he's doing a shit job by now, surely?
I suspect the overlap between Anti-vaxxers and Idle lovers would be very small indeed
I missed them at Easter :(

I wondered that too! He's at the back of the long queue to get in i suspect
As wealth concentrates, so does power β the power to influence elections, shape policy, tilt markets and define the terms of public debate.
Taxing billionaires is not radical.
What is radical is allowing a system where extreme wealth exists alongside widespread hardship.
