I love that every family has the story about Weird Uncle George who didn't like people and polished coins and loved trains obssessively but sure, autism is new.

The good news is I have no cavities. Surprised the hell out of me! The bad news is I have up to 90% bone loss in my front lower teeth. Scheduled a deep cleaning and the dentist said I'm probably going to lose 2, maybe 4 of those teeth. I honestly expected worse.

I just finished a book that was really good otherwise except that one of the characters was adamant that a central feature of their society was evil - not just bad or questionable, but evil - and there was nothing in the story to support that, until a last act reveal of an evil plan from nowhere.

Probably my biggest book pet peeve of this nature is a character "knowing" a person or situation is bad despite all shown evidence to the contrary in the story and then something completely unforeseen and unrelated happens that just happens to prove them right.
