it feels like playing with matchsticks

I wish every app had an "about this app section" that detailed how it was built (i.e. is it an electron app or did they put some effort into it)...
Is being an adult a constant cycle of cleaning out random rooms? If so, unsubscribe.
I hope I see that article when you post it, because I'm personally very interested in that nightmare โ and diversification is almost always good ;)
I'll be waiting a long in my inbox for a confirmation code if I don't hit "request code"...
Thanks for sharing, that was a great read!
Can somebody explain to me the appeal of fb in 2025? The feed is random AI generated slop begging for engagement, mixed with random propaganda groups vying for my attention.
Itโs difficult to create consistently, especially since Iโm multipassionate. Right now working on overcoming resistance in all its forms (war of art? Such a great book) aiming to go to bed fulfilled. Day 1 of mood tracking with How we Feel.
Amid these plane crashes and derailments (not a coincidence), Iโm reposting my public transportation thread from the bird app:
Now that weโre in the middle of a plane Armageddonโข๏ธ, itโs a good time to remember how public transportation is *purposely* underfunded across the ENTIRE United States.
What book is this from? Seems like an interesting read
A screenshot showing you why you shouldn't name your file final, and just start with a version in the first place. The file names are draft.md, draft_final.md, draft_final_final.md and draft_v1.md
I was too optimistic so now v1 is actually the fourth version. Probably should go to bed instead
In my opinion, every citizen should voice their concerns and have them heard. Not just 63%. Picture your high school classroom. In a class of 30 kids, 63% means 19 students raising their hands while 11 stay down. Imagine the back row completely silent, plus a couple more scattered empty seats.
I'd argue that even a republican politician is just that, a politician. (R)'s are more vocal by far, calling their reps more frequently and loudly. We have to change that, by spending energy on phone-calls, even to republicans. Because division=distraction.
I called my reps today for the first time in a while, and was surprised to get through to 2/3 of them.
Shout out to 5calls.org for making it easy to find your representatives and contact their staff to share what is important to you. I managed to reach 2 out of 3 reps. today.
It's an interesting framing of the situation, one that we've seen US media take very often in the recent history, but only when the topics covered are unlikely to create legal liabilities domestically.
Oh, I do feel that in my bones. Especially because I managed to ruin my sleep schedule in the process...
After I read this, I want to crawl into a hole and throw my phone and computer out the window.
โThe average personโs experience with technology is one so aggressive and violative that I believe it leaves billions of people with a consistent low-grade trauma.โ
Cheers to everybody that took the last few weeks as an opportunity to โrelaxโ and โrecuperateโ! Happy new year? Letโs make this a mindful year
Great story by @wsjwernau.bsky.social about one effective way to help treat the mental health crisis. www.wsj.com/health/schiz...
I totally agree, time flies way too quickly
Apologies for the minutia, but why do I get the notification that our flight is delayed by four hours moments after we get in the pre paid cab to jfkโฆ
Have a good evening!

The state of media for Americans is so completely broken
My god. Itโs happening. A post-Bashar Syria.
The transition starts now. Make no mistake: it will be incredibly rocky.
But today, take a beat to hear the soft, human joy of many Syrians as they cry, embrace, learn if wrongly jailed loved ones survived & vow โnow we can go home.โ ๐งต
Yeah, they keep gawking and stopping in random places on the street - itโs pure chaos. But people watching is still fun
Streets of NYC so full, I could probably swim faster than traffic (and Iโm a bad swimmer)
well, thanks for reminding me that I just added that to my list! :)
It costs nothing to treat other people nicely...
