The Will in English Renaissance Drama Cambridge Core - Renaissance and Early Modern Literature - The Will in English Renaissance Drama

Really disappointed that I won't make the @saaupdates.bsky.social conference this year in Denver. I hope everyone has a great time!

If anyone sees my book at the @universitypress.cambridge.org stall, I'd love to see evidence that it exists out there. Book selfies encouraged! #shax2026

Tomorrow, a download button will appear on our webpage and that’s also when most In Our Time listeners outside the UK will get to hear Misha’s first programme via usual providers including bbc.com. (UK BBC Sounds listeners are always 28 days ahead.) We enjoy making these & hope you enjoy listening

A World of Wills in Shakespeare and Beyond It’s another dull, grey Tuesday morning. A colleague asks you how you are. Reflecting on the seemingly endless flow of tedious meetings in the day ahead, you reply that you’re “losing the will the live”. Your co-worker chuckles and walks back to wherever they need to be.

A (not too grim) blog post about my book for @universitypress.cambridge.org, featuring biscuits and Frodo Baggins! #cambridgeuniversitypress #hobbits #shakespeare

We’re excited for #Shax2026 in Denver, but have you considered submitting a proposal for #Shax2027 in Atlanta? The deadline to submit proposals to the #Shax2027 program committee is February 15!

What happens when Shakespeare’s line shifts from 'hope' to 'dread' and from 'brain' to 'will'?

Jacke Wilson talks with Douglas Clark about the meaning of will-making in English Renaissance drama.

Awful news, but a lovely tribute.

All historians know the sinking feeling of tracking an "authoritative" reference back through several generations of writers to an unsourced assertion by someone nobody's ever heard of.

Now AI can make up new ones in no time at all.

Decades of mechanistic talk about university degrees as if they were bundles of 'skills' and 'prep' are about to be proved completely wrong (obviously). Want to get a real boost? Do History or English.
