Phillies pitching BABIP now up to .359, second highest is .329. Last year highest was Rockies at .323, next highest was .306. The Phillies lead in GBs against and are 3rd in BABIP on this GBs. This all will normalize.

The Nationals lead baseball with a BABIP of .351, the Phillies are 28th at .238. I think that sums things up.
JADEN FUCKING BRADLEY!!!!
Mark DeRosa should be forcibly removed from the dugout by authorities
Bring in one of the parade of high leverage demons and Jax immediately puts out the fire. Funny how that works
DeRosa is a war criminal for letting Boyd face the lineup a second time when he already got hit around. Gotta keep his promise to Craig Counsell over trying to win. Well done.
5 million more total than Ranger got an Luzardo’s ceiling is much higher. Great deal all around
This is The Year
I gotta marinate on it more but Scream 7 was a definite letdown and I’m sad man
They really gotta bulldoze the Ben Simmons/Castellanos mansion, it’s really not working out. Bad vibes or something not right going on there
Nevermind that he was drafted and then later signed to a 9 figure deal by Dombrowski who also never played in the majors.
The Gelb article sure doesn’t make Nick look good. Doesn’t really change my sentiment in the grand scheme personally, but I also think the people who made him out to be a victim in this situation should probably rethink that stance.
Nick certainly has opinion about how he was treated, but from the outside Rob gave him so much rope and the fact that it took until the middle of 2025 for him to finally use the body of evidence to not play Nick everyday and to use a defensive replacement speaks to an immense level of patience.
Nick has a weird legacy. He was objectively bad for ~80% of his tenure with the team. But there were just enough big moments mixed in + him being a good dude that I will remember him more fondly than someone like, Jake Arrieta, who I never need to see or hear from ever again.
I’m annoyed at the sloppy and disjointed performance tonight but if you expect me to get bent out of shape in the macro over a team that took their first loss on February 9th I’m just not going to do that.
Gonna be tough to win in an environment like that when 2 of your 3 best players no show, regardless of no Darryn Peterson
Okay move this along now please. It’s time to turn the page to baseball season.
22-0
It’s a shame we won’t have Bob as a punching bag anymore but I’m sure whatever buffoon ASU hires will adequately fill the void in their hapless attempts to “close the gap”
I will miss Bobby Hurley but frankly it doesn’t matter who is coaching ASU. They’re nothing more than small insect on the steps toward the mountaintop.
Not just a revenue sharing recipient, the defending top seed in the NL playoffs, coming of an NLCS apprarance
What would be the pre-deadline backup plan if Crawford really struggles? Is it just slide Marsh to CF and go with a Rincones/Kemp platoon in LF until they can make a trade?
I do not believe history will look kindly on this voting bloc of writers for deciding that the only use of the character clause should be players explicitly suspended for PED usage
Once again chiming in to point out that a world where half the top free agents are signing short term with opt outs as soon as next offseason is not actually a world where the top player agents expect a lasting lockout or a salary cap
“Now batting for the Phillies, number 28, third baseman Alec Bohm”
If you want to acquire star free agents in the future, you’re gonna have to be willing to give opt outs. The most guaranteed money seemingly doesn’t carry the weight it did a few years ago.
As the top of the free agent market seems to be moving toward these short-term high AAV deals where guys can opt out and then cash in on their long-term contract later, the Phillies might have to change their strategy to keep up with industry trends
Boy I know they had little choice with how bad the catching position is but that deal is…problematic
