I’m home from the Damien Dempsey gig at the @hareandhounds.bsky.social in Birmingham. What a great night.
The lighting and sound were on point and Damo and his band pulled the crowd into the performance. I stood in the middle of the floor crying to the sentiment of passing All Our Cares Away.
But they persevered. They got good responsiveness to put him in a taxi.
The girls saw him struggling and took them under their wings. They made sure he sat down and ate his meal. The staff had previous looked like he should be kicked out
I witnessed kindness this evening, after a night out. Two young girls saw a guy who had been drinking, and didn’t really know where he was, but he was trying to have a meal in a fast Asian food place

I’ve been to Liverpool twice in two years. The first time I smashed my face and broke my nose after missing a step.
The second time was today. I somehow missed another step again whilst walking into the train station on my way home. A lot of soreness.

Covid = lockdown
I think Covid caused most of the entitlement on the road, and Apple, and then others, not including headphones with new devices caused the build up to people playing on their phone speakers in public.
Just completed my longest gap between the first and last time I saw a band perform - 48 years.
