i love to tell my silly little stories
anyways, that guy sucks and "Come" is my favorite Prince album, and i'm glad I got to see him play live once, even if he made his backup singers sing sarah maclachlan's "angel" while he left the stage to yell at the sound guy
i walked up to a bar, and the bartender put "Paisley Park" on. i realized the man to my left was my former job's main investor; a man my boss made me change out of a dress for in order to keep the money flowing. the man was wearing The Red Hat. i heard him say "it's a conversation piece."
i said, "don't fuck with me, man" and he said "i'm not" and i turned around and my boss and co-workers looked at me aghast and said "we didn't want to tell you!" and i said "i'm clocking out." and i did, and went down to the basement and cried.
10 years ago today i had such bad allergies at work my boss gave me a benadryl and it knocked me out. i was trying to do the dishes when a customer stumbled into the dish pit, hand over heart. i managed to ask him "hey, what's going on?" and he looked at me, red-eyed, and said, "Prince died."
if only a billion people would take this video to heart
when i am way too high, the only thing that can help is a viewing of "masks" (also who else out there knew the God is named "corgano" because the writer loved the pumpkins (me, i did))
The more I think about CNN's utterly irresponsible approach to this article, the angrier I get
SO cool and SO proud and happy to see El here!!!
let us not consider the decade i spent drinking wine from these
the ketchup and mustard man, from βthe ketchup and mustard man,β dir. cory mcabee, 1993
crossover event where this guy shows up
@derekbgayle.bsky.social if he had some lil curls on that chest, that's hog heaven
people still hated lodger until 2013!
it's weird that it was weird that i wrote that one week one band about him in the 90s!!!
it's weird that 15 years ago a lot of people still really didn't like anything bowie did in the 90s if they'd heard it at all
soon
i don't think it is! i've been thinking on this hard and outside of some of Riker's "I'm a Serious Guy" characterization that gets toned down later, you do get a good idea of what everyone's deal is
that to me sounds like a wild pick for someone with zero prior knowledge? do you think anything with Tasha, let alone the status quo, would resonate if you didn't know who/what they were?
if you had to pick one episode of TNG to show someone who has never seen a frame of it and wouldnt even necessarily recognize the characters what would you pick
this is what Wet Leg sounds like to me

This is single handedly the funniest scene from any Star Trek
everything sucks and it happened 20 years ago
or is it just that i do actually feel extremely let down (fuck you) by radiohead and especially billy corgan (ugh i hate myself) like yes i know all your heroes are bad but idk man... everything sucks lol
i could finish my long ass album in like a week if i focused on it but... what's the point, lol lmao lol
i retreated from all the major scenes due to my sobriety and it makes me feel even more an outsider than i already was. anyways, time to go back to chicago, sober for the first time, a city of alcohol... jesus christ
is it just because i've completed a project that i feel like "well okay this is it" or is that something deeper
I REALLY DONT WANT TO GO TO CHICAGO NEXT WEEK
