i have a friend who says i love you at the end of every phone call and i nearly always hang up unintentionally as she says it. i was raised by wolves.
one thing i am going to consistently do is end a zoom call in the wrong timing/rhythm of the conversation because i never learned how to interact with humans properly.
seems like a really good reason to organize and bargain this
i don’t have enough time to research this but strongly suspect the flu shot move from Hegseth is purely because they don’t want to pay for it, and people are about to find out how disastrous that is.
Democrats should make the confirmation hearing on the nominee to be U.S. Attorney General all about the Epstein files.
If you won’t commit to release the files without redactions and prosecute the Epstein class, then you’re obstructing justice, not enforcing it.
House Judiciary Dems will soon launch an investigation on this.
Stay tuned.

I'm fed up of seeing drivers texting or reading from a phone ***while driving*** (and it's also unacceptable if you're stopped in traffic). If you are driving, it's very simple: you are in charge of a 1+ ton killing machine, so don't touch your phone. Ever. No, not even "insert excuse here".

ICE agents shot another driver -- on Tues.
He had just asked to call his wife.
They shot him six times. One bullet his jaw.
Now he can't speak and has been mostly unconscious.

who is going to stop it, senator?
The President just threatened genocide.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff must disregard any such military orders that violate federal and international law.
Republicans in Congress can't hide anymore: we must consider all options – including impeachment – to stop Trump.

President threatens the eradication of 90 million people, and America's opposition party is just not getting it.
Complete loss of words for the way our elected officials on both sides of the aisle are approaching These Times.
The brief is strong; all evidence indicates that the decision to reopen the case against Kilmar Abrego Garcia occurred AFTER the Supreme Court's decision, and with the direct involvement of senior administration officials.
If this fails, though, the evidence against him seems hard to overcome.
Raphael Lemkin spent years and years working to conceptualize and define genocide and have that idea made part of international law. His work makes it clear beyond any reasonable doubt that Trump is threatening genocide here.
pretty clear bright line today, anyone in power who isn't doing everything they can to remove him from office deserves handcuffs when this is all over. that includes any democrat who votes for anything he wants
call for an investigation into the president's fitness. call for the house to impeach. say you will obstruct every last bit of senate business. call for soldiers to disregard illegal orders. say you will prosecute the people who do this. say you will take their military pensions and benefits.
But one high-level DOJ official was present, not as a witness but as counsel for the government: Associate Attorney General Stanley E. Woodward, the number three official at the Department of Justice who oversees civil matters. Mr. Woodward appeared in this case after the Court granted discovery on Mr. Abrego’s vindictive prosecution claim (Dkt. 199, 215), making plain that senior DOJ officials remain in charge of this prosecution
Stan Woodward, the Trump DOJ's No. 3 figure, wrote the legal brief defending the case against Kilmar Abrego Garcia against vindictive prosecution claims.
That in itself, Abrego's team says, is evidence of vindictive prosecution. #AlwaysReadtheFootnotes

Completely unstable and perilous. The House must bring up impeachment articles, and the Senate needs to remove a president who wants to commit war crimes. We cannot sit idly by as Donald Trump threatens to end an entire civilization.
In all seriousness, one thing that might be worth doing today:
Tell your Reps and Senators to call Adm. Richard Correll, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which controls the nation's nukes, and remind him of *his* unique responsibility to refuse an illegal order.
