Canadian success at the Battle of Vimy Ridge during World War I was a defining moment, earning Canadian forces recognition on the global stage. Today, on Vimy Ridge Day, we remember and honour the 30,000 Canadians who bravely served in the battle.
Today, on the International #DayofPink, colleagues and I are wearing pink to stand against bullying, homophobia, and transphobia. It’s an important reminder of our shared responsibility to build inclusive, respectful environments in our schools, workplaces, and communities.
On #WorldHealthDay, I’m proud to stand with the World Health Organization’s “Together for health. Stand with science” campaign, highlighting the power of scientific collaboration to protect the health of people, animals, plants, and our planet.
Tomorrow, a panel of sport leaders will come together to reflect on the Future of Sport in Canada Commission’s Final Report and its potential implications for the future of sport in Canada.

It was a pleasure to Meet with KidSport (Greg Ingalls and Willa Minnes) and Senator Moodie. 1 in 3 Canadian Kids no longer participate in sport, especially kids from marginalized or remote communities. KidSport has helped nearly 1 million kids experience the joy of participating in organized sport.

I have continued to think about Kirsty Duncan all week while reading many tributes and memories.
I first met Kirsty three decades ago when I was working as an educator trying to engage girls in the Sciences(STEM).
