how many tokens per second do you get out of the EdgeExpert with that model?
Okay this isn’t really happening anymore so I can tell you how l had “internal ICE sources”: the 3000 very stir-crazy ICE agents were all going wild on Minneapolis Tinder. Local girls would match with them and string them along for intel. They loved to brag about what they were doing all day
Tomb Raider with the 3dfx Glide API patch was pretty sweet though.
Bendigo Bank has signalled a new round of job cuts under two new technology partnerships that will grant the bank increased access to “AI talent”.

wrote a blog post trying to understand how local LLMs work so I can (in part 2) run a couple and squeeze as much performance out of them as possible on meager hardware

Whether you like or hate AI, it’s probably a good idea to do this survey so at least we get a feel for where people are at, people in general, especially Gen Z hate AI, but it seems like devs are the opposite, would love to see how true that is.

And as for (the already unfortunate) Robert Faggetter...
The ban has also had unintended side effects for the government. On the day new research found vaping could lead to cancer, Guardian Australia exclusively obtained documents from the health department that showed the social media portion of its anti-vaping ad campaign targeting teens had to be diverted to gaming platforms and audio platforms such as Spotify in order to reach 14 and 15-year-olds. Just 10% of the ad spend was diverted to gaming to reach this demographic - despite many of those still using social media.
Also a scoop. The health department had to divert ads targeting teens vaping from social media to less effective gaming and audio platforms due to the ban that is currently not working.
trump wishes his library was that impressive, it’ll be dogshit
Volvo decided to keep making hybrids and EVs instead of going full

this is called chicken/man but Ron Mueck could also have called it “arguing on the internet”
FWIW absolutely no one I know who has expertise in spaceflight or planetary exploration thinks this is either remotely plausible or a good idea to attempt on such a timeline. The dominant reaction is somewhere on the spectrum between mockery and dismay. Real, important science was cancelled for this

Construction workers shouldn’t earn less because teachers are paid shit. The question should be how construction workers have managed to win higher wages from their shitty bosses and why doesn’t Labor pay education workers more (Labor sets public school wages). The answer is industrial action.
Beautiful stamps thanks @decryption.bsky.social
