This is how utterly ridiculous these papers are.

4/ There is almost no point in continuing this thread. There is no substance to analyse when the methodology itself is a vacuum designed to produce a void.

You cannot review a vacuum that purports to be a review of a vacuum.

3/ While NHS England claims to have commissioned 10 evidence reviews, several topics are clinically nonsensical. The review titled “GnRH analogue monotherapy for CYP with gender incongruence - non-binary partial masculinisation” targets a treatment pathway that is non-existent in practice.

2/ The evidence review conveniently excludes the most common “adult” treatment protocols. And by omitting studies involving puberty blockers or those that do not distinguish between specific age cohorts, the review creates an artificial vacuum.

1/🧵 I am reviewing NHS England’s “evidence” papers supporting their ban of GHAT for 16- and 17-year-olds.

It’s hard not to see this as a deliberate and malicious attempt to manipulate the evidence base. Most notably, the scope is restricted to monotherapy or GnRH analogues.

I'm told some Labour MPs are unhappy with this latest act of hostility towards trans people being blamed on Streeting. That feels silly or naïve. It's happening because Wesley kept in place in the NHS, indeed encouraged, the ideologues that Kemi Badenoch *told us* she introduced to key positions.

Noting that the NICE reviews were chaired by Cass, and the York reviews were chaired by Cass.

So '10 reviews' is just 'Cass says'.

What do we think the NHS means by 'independent' here?

Tomorrow Wes Streeting will remove trans minors ability to access, and doctors to prescribe, cross-sex hormones.

Try as it might Labour will never eradicate trans people. They cannot, and should not, change who they are. All Labour will do is make trans lives harder - with more harm and more death.

Just feels a bit unfair that the only life events that society deems acceptable to celebrate and acknowledge for women are engagements and matrimony, having babies, and leading an army to wage war on the men of Ulster in order to steal a bull and one-up your own husband
