Well this is awkward for the Countryside Alliance's 'Action for Hunting' initiative.
Looks like they are running out of hunts without convictions or current investigations, 1/3

Scorched earth, charred gorse and dead trees: some of the impacts of recent moorland burning (โswalingโ) on Dartmoor. This is on Spitchwick Commons near Poundsgate. Itโs legal but ecologically crackers: the gorse is a nursery for trees that eventually shade out the scrub, but now the trees are dead.

Extreme prison sentences for peaceful protest do not work as a deterrent.
Damien Gayle (Guardian) explores the reasons for rising unaccountable acts of sabotage against deadly industries - and is told by those activists that unjust laws are a driving factor.

Hunting still happens, and penalties arenโt enough. Demand a total ban and harsher consequences for illegal hunts.

This is whatโs really going on. All the time. Weโre only seeing the tip of the iceberg
In March 2023 Sabs made a shocking discovery โ a fox buried alive underground in a sack . Itโs the focus of day 6 of my (b)advent counting down the top 20 worst fox hunting crimes with @huntsabs.bsky.social . . .

An appalling crime. Hunt terriermen buried a fox alive to be dug out later and hunted. The vile barbarity of it. Police should be routinely searching the quad bikes of all terriermen at hunts
There are amber weather warnings for tomorrow (Saturday), with some parts of Devon even falling within the red warning area. Nevertheless, we know from previous storms that hunts will still be going out to satisfy their bloodlust, putting their animals at risk.
Despite the atrocious weather, no doubt some hunts will still force their horses and hounds to go out in pursuit of wildlife tomorrow.
Hunt Saboteurs will be there to make sure they don't have an easy time of it.
Good luck to all groups battling the storm to protect wildlife.
Fiery coat amongst fiery foliage . A tricky one today . Thank you

A bad day for the Wynnstay Hunt as Terrier Man Ryan Brennan is sentenced for interfering with a badger sett.
This is yet another conviction for this criminal hunt, and once again the result of evidence provided Hunt Sabs.
We will be releasing the footage later this week, so keep your eyes peeled ๐

A couple of dedicated Sabs have spoken to the BBC about how the Hunting Act is not for for purpose, and how we need @uklabour.bsky.social to follow through with their promise to ban trail hunting.
