AOC is all sensible Americans right now, Americans who have completely lost patience with the wildly incompetent, lying loons currently running things who undermine our sanity, wealth, and wellbeing.

His incompetence and yes, unwarranted arrogance on display for the whole world to see. He's his own worst enemy. Diplomacy is dead if you keep posting threats before and during negotiations. And not one of his minion is willing to stop him. 🙄

"I think it's outrageous industry propaganda..." Listeners are concerned about a book sent to primary schools that promotes Sitka Spruce plantations.

'Outrageous industry propaganda': how I described on RTÉ Liveline yesterday the video and book promoting Sitka deadzones sent to every primary school in Ireland.

So much more to say on this, but glad to have at least got a few words in to dispute such misinformation.

Reading the FT front page story about a Chinese company introducing a battery with a 1500 km range & six minute recharging time & about how two Chinese companies own more than half of the global EV battery market & I am struck by the different realities the US and China occupy. We’ve lost the plot.

An Urban Arrow cargo bike parked in a parking lot where each parking space has large oil stains from cars.

An Urban Arrow cargo bike parked in a parking lot where each parking space has large oil stains from cars.

Parking to get coffee and noticing all of the oil stains left on the ground by cars.

If it's not broken liquor bottles discarded by drivers, broken bits of cars left over from crashes, or sand, gravel, and brake and tire dust all over the edges of the road, it's oil and other toxic chemicals.

First shared by @greens-efa.eu almost four years ago, this message feels just as urgent today amid a deepening energy crisis.

We can’t keep ignoring the root cause: our dependence on fossil fuels - driving conflict, damaging our environment, and pushing costs ever higher for ordinary people.

I live in Tipperary, I walk to and from work every day and I have a few questions on this motion from the councillors:

1. How does a vis vest stop the amount of gobshites speeding through red lights at pedestrian crossings?

Any councillor admitting on the record that they struggle to see cyclists and pedestrians on the road is admitting that they are a danger to the public and not fit to drive, and their licences should immediately be suspended.

Robert Watt set to be paid €280,000 a year to lead Dublin city regeneration body Former Department of Health head expected to be approved by Cabinet on Tuesday

Clarity is urgently needed about what this regeneration body is for.
DCC say its about tackling dereliction.
The Gov say its about implementing all the 10 Big Moves of the Taoiseach's taskforce.
Whatever he is paid, surely we should know what his job is!

15% of fossil fuels extracted each year are used to make fertiliser, run farms, process foods and transport them. In a very real sense our food is made from oil and gas.

We are about to feel a very painful food shock.

Americans have not been at war with Iranians for nearly 50 years. Religious zealots in the US government have hated, feared and wanted to destroy the religious zealots in the Iranian government. And vice versa.

Innocent people die when the religious go to war.

This is my last environment column for The Irish Times and I’ve radicalised myself None of my own small changes is going to save the planet, but everyday choices and habits of individuals do matter

No, small changes are not going to save the planet (on their own), but we should still be making them!

I'll miss the Making a Difference column from Joanne Hunt. We need more of this type of journalism, not less.

Me normally: one very frustrating thing about being on the left is that a huge chunk of the movement is obsessed with defending the abusive, repressive monster that was the Soviet Union

Trump has destabilized the globe. That is a fact. He started a baseless war. That is a fact. He had no plan for this war. That is obvious. Yet despite terrible prices on everything, people do his bidding and follow him. Cult.

As e-bike crashes send an increasing number of people to the hospital, cities search for solutions Cities look to registration, regulation and infrastructure improvement to cut number of e-bike injuries and deaths

“When we think about e-bike crashes and deaths related to e-bikes, the vast majority are cars and trucks killing people on e-bikes as opposed to people on e-bikes injuring somebody else”

The Islamic Republic has been a disaster for the people of Iran - and for the lustre of one of humanity's most impressive extant civilizations.

But I do understand the murderous Mullahs' complaint that they cannot trust anything negotiated with the US because the US negotiates in bad faith.
