A small white bowl of five large ripe strawberries sits on a black table.
Hi. Yes. It’s officially strawberry season in France. This is not a drill.

Some fun news: I finally built a standalone webcomic site for The Goblin Throne! If you're interested in a nice, easy place to read the first two parts of this graphic novel (perhaps before the Kickstarter goes live in June, wink wink), this is the place for you 😈 www.thegoblinthrone.com/comic/001/

The EU will soon require smartphone manufacturers to let users replace their batteries.
The tough new rules - endorsed by the European Parliament this week - could save millions of phones from landfill.

We went to Guestling Wood, just up the road from Hastings today, for a walk.
The blubells were looking great, and the birds were sounding pretty hapoy too.

There is no going back to the person you were before the loss.
You change, the world can feel like a different planet without your person, and the person you lose is a part of the person you were.
The resemblance is uncanny!
Shine bright like a diamond. 💎This morning at sunrise on Glastonbury Tor.
how is this literally happening in real life
This feels relevant.
Photo shows a heap of older style phones with the text “Planned obsolescence is now outlawed in France. It is a crime to intentionally reduce the lifespan of a product to force customers to replace it.”

A four-panel comic featuring two fluffy black cats sitting side by side on a soft pink ground with a blue-purple sky. In the first panel, one cat asks, “What’s your favorite place?” In the second, the other cat replies, “I don’t think I have one.” In the third, it continues, “I think I have favorite beings. And places feel nicer when they’re there.” In the final panel, the first cat looks at the other with heart-shaped eyes, and the second cat says, “Just like this one!”
Happy Caturday 🐾🤍

Our spinach is really flourishing! I picked enough for several salads. Tomorrow, I’ll pick the rest to blanch and freeze. Then we’ll clear out the raised bed and plant something new.
In other news, more of our iris are blooming today. I’m so happy to see them thriving.
That is so thoughtful. Thank you.
“When I was small, not much bigger than a pollywog,” said Frog, “my father said to me, “Son, this is a cold, gray day but spring is just around the corner.”

- So that is not ideal. She’s getting good care, but yeah. That’s not great.
- We went for that appointment today, and they did a second mammogram, an ultrasound, and a biopsy. They also found something concerning, and they think it is in her lymph nodes. We are going to have another appointment to consult with a doctor and a surgeon once they have the biopsy results.-
Soooo…my mom’s had some health surprises. She went for a mammogram last week, and they were concerned by what they saw, so they sent us to the cancer hospital in Bordeaux to see a specialist. -

Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet:

A purple and yellow iris and a white iris have fully opened, while another purple one is budding out. These are the first in an entire grouping of iris flowers.
Now that the daffodils are gone, the next flowers in our garden are making their appearance. Roses and iris blooms are just beginning to show. It won’t be long until our rhododendrons and gladiolas show up. I love the way this garden is shaping up.
My allergies hate me, but I mowed in the garden until the batteries died. I’ll finish the other 1/3 on the weekend. The dwarf chamomile flowers were lovely, but they had gotten out of control. I left some around the edges for the bees and to keep a little softness to the green space.
