This whole Mandelson mess started with Starmer trying to flatter and appease Trump.

If the Prime Minister had stood firm with our allies instead, he might not be in this mess now.

Ed stands up for Britain at its best, a country where people look out for each other, where public services work, and where politics is about fixing problems not stoking division.

Since Trump’s war, petrol is up 25p and diesel 49p.

Families and businesses are struggling — will the PM use Treasury windfalls to cut fuel duty and slash fares now?

The ongoing civil service pension scandal has left thousands without payments, including a #Woking resident who gave up work to care for her husband when he was diagnosed with MND. I've pushed the Government guarantee a debate so that MPs can scrutinise this mess.

Mandelson failed security clearance and has previously given away national secrets.

Boris Johnson eventually resigned after misleading Parliament.

If Starmer has done the same, he must be held to the same standard.

Following the tragic case of Sara Sharif from #Woking, I’ve called on the Government to fully implement the safeguarding report’s recommendations, as well as ensure proper interpretation support so everyone can fully participate in family court proceedings.

Following my Prime Minister's Question, I had a productive meeting with the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing, Josh MacAlister, to discuss what funding opportunities area available for improving #Woking High School and make the case for support.

If Keir Starmer has misled Parliament and lied to the British people, he has to go.

Trump’s idiotic war is making it painfully expensive just to get around.

The Government needs to stop sitting on its hands and act. That's why we've put forward an emergency plan to keep Britain moving, whether you use a car, train or bus.

Along with others from the @libdems.org.uk, I have campaigned hard to change #Surrey County Council’s appalling approach to SEND.

Local Government Reorganisation is a huge opportunity for us to change the shocking culture so that children in #Woking and beyond are put first.

Residents of Old #Woking are tired of being impacted by unsafe driving. There have been far too many incidents in recent years, including a car going through a property.

I urge the Government to listen to those who have supported this petition and deliver improvements.

Yesterday, I delivered a petition in the House of Commons calling on the Government to take urgent action to make Old #Woking High Street safe after a series of dangerous incidents in the area.

Despite new @telegraph.co.uk polling showing the @libdems.org.uk top in the new West #Surrey Council area covering #Woking, the final result could still see a Reform/Conservative administration emerge. Vote #LibDem on 7th May to give our area a fresh start and stop Reform!

Last year the PM promised Brits could “sail through” EU e-gates but families are still stuck in long queues - a clear sign of Brexit’s impact and the government’s failure to fix it.

Will he apologise, and say when this will change?

My busy weeks backing young minds, the WWF and local elections Welcome to my latest fortnightly column, I’ve had a busy and varied couple of weeks in both the constituency and in Parliament. Here are some of my highlights:

As covered in the #Woking News and Mail, I’ve had a busy and varied couple of weeks. I invited Woking-based @wwf.org.uk to Parliament for Earth Hour, went on patrol with #Surrey Police and much more - read all about it here ⬇️

Ed quote tweet graphic that says:

Keir Starmer should rule out the UK joining Donald Trump’s latest escalation in his idiotic war. Iran won’t give ships free passage but a unilateral blockade is not the right way to end this.

The UK should be working with other countries to get the US and Iran back to the negotiating table, not fanning the flames of war.

It’s just days since Trump threatened to destroy a whole civilisation, and a return to war would be disastrous.

The Prime Minister needs to work in lock-step with our reliable partners to secure a diplomatic end to this crisis.

Donald Trump’s idiotic war has damaged the global economy and left British families and businesses suffering.

A total disaster backed by Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage.

We’re calling on the government to act to Keep Britain Moving.

When Parliament returns next week, we’ll be pushing hard for our plan: a 10p cut in fuel duty, a £1 cap on bus fares, and lower rail fares.

I've raised urgent concerns in Parliament about refugee policy, student visas and support for families facing homelessness.

We need a system that is fair, workable and humane, one that protects the most vulnerable and does not create further barriers for those already in need.

Just finished another advice surgery for #Woking constituents, this time at Christ Church. Had Council Tax, immigration, pensions and special educational needs issues raised with me. If you have an issue you want me to look into, please email me on will.forster.mp@parliament.uk.

Liberal Democrats get things done. We don’t do division. We do potholes and police officers, church roofs and clean rivers.

We focus on the local issues that matter to you.

Vote Liberal Democrat on 7th May.

Donald Trump’s idiotic war with Iran – cheered on by Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage – is meaning you're paying more at the pump.

We want to cut fuel duty by 10p a litre and keep Britain moving.

I visited Hydralectric in Byfleet, #Woking where we discussed issues of exporting, particularly for manufacturing companies, from the UK to Europe after Brexit. Appreciative this has been raised again, I’ll continue working to reduce the impact on our constituents.
