Another scrub through my AppSumo purchases, another discovery of things I purchased, didn't really use, and now are gone, abandoned, or something else that does not recognize my LTD. There are a few gems I still use, but its the minority.

It is so sad that news and local tv websites are so full of ads - so many of which are scams. No vetting. I know they have to do what they can to survive, so I guess trust is a thing of the past.

Why does it seem that so many service companies are so bad at customer service - primarily communication. I'm having issues with three companies today. Tired.

I work with orgs like community action agencies & health centers that need gov't grants. I created WP code to highlight words throughout the site that are on a list - so editors can see what has to be changed. I really like how it works (coded with AI). I truly hate the fact that it is needed.

When I reach out by email to home improvement contractors using their Contact Us address, I ask that the first contact back to me is also by email. Not only because I prefer it, but it is a little test to see if they respect my wishes. Almost none do. ☹️

So many people liking so much generated content that's passing itself off as real. The elephant did not save that kid. The mother deer with the gaping wound was not saved by the roadside Samaritan. Think and watch critically It's not hard to spot fake.

I'm starting to see Halloween decoration advertisements. I am curious if anyone tracks the advertising season for various holidays.

Businesses should have at least a monitored email address and/or online form for those of us who don't like using the phone - especially for first contact. You might be surprised how many of us there are. I like to think through my written inquiry so the recipient handle appropriately.

It's so frustrating to see an ex client who I still care about deal with an issue (like a website down) for weeks when it could have been fixed in less than an hour. It has happened more than once. Be careful with general IT services that don't really know how the web works.

Look what ChatGPT can now do! I've tried multiple AI image generators to create a glass of wine filled to the brim. They could not as they never "saw" (trained) on filled wine glasses. I guess ChatGPT thinks beyond that limitation. The accurate words and quality are bonus!

I'm not a fan of the overuse of "WTF" in thumbnails. Not everything is a "WTF" And please, please stop with the "Home Alone" faces - I see many using that in thumbnails when I know they would never actually do that in the real world. Way overused and just ridiculous.

ChatGPT Search started a few months ago and rolled out to all users last month. ChatGPT has been delivering constant improvements, esp. with a paid subscription. Adding web searching was/is vital.

AI chats are proving to be very helpful with my ADHD tendencies. When something pops into my mind, I can just launch a chat to capture it and have it start the work. I can then return to what I was doing - rather than completely changing lanes in the middle of something else. I like it.

I've seen that kind of unexpected results for quite a while. I've searched using the exact name and found the plugin on the second or even third page. Sometimes it looks like results are weighted for popularity before title - although this Elementor one is just "wrong."

I just cancelled another annual subscription that I never used. I think I'll reward myself with a quick game of Asteroids.
