I can see my house from here

Couldn't have that in Tacoma or tweakers would break in and steal the ductwork
And 90% as capable in most scenarios!
The bed is the same length, but shallower, which can make a difference, depending on what you're trying to fit.
I'm open for commissions!

Thank you 💛
lol that's just where I live
This is our current bike storage solution.
And I still want to bring home my late dad's other Bridgestone Comp 2.
Heh.
Or simply just "trouble"
Oranges but also enough of a beer scent that any officer that pulls you over asks you to step out of the car
I was afraid I wasn't going to "get it" when it comes to suiting.
My fears were immediately allayed. I get it. I was immediately filled with gremlin energy.
I'm already scheming how to get into a suit again.
Thanks to @wyattfox.bsky.social for the experience!
I would LOVE to read that sometime!! Please do! I've always loved your whole fleet, I can tell they've got a history to them.
Thank you!
Hah, it's clean, just worn. When I rebuild the engine, I'll paint/coat/clean everything fresh!
4th gens are lil spaceship cars and 5th gens are salaryman cars. I love them both.
And I always liked how the H22-spec trim on the 4th gen was just called the "VTEC" trim.
What color was yours?
And this is how she sits now. I've focused on the CRX and our other cars and now it's time to give this girl the love she deserves. She just took us to NorCal and back! Nearly 30 years old, 225k+ miles, 12+ hours each way, 3,700 RPM the entire time, zero complaints.
Here's to another 100k.

The 02-04 RSX Type S wheels are great, but 05-06 RSX Type S wheels are perfect. I was able to finally find a set and felt like I finally had the exact wheels that should've come on the Prelude in the first place. I've since put Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06+'s on and started suspension work.

The timing worked out perfectly that I could roll her over 200k on New Year's 2020. So my wife and our couple friend piled in the car and we drove around the block so the odometer rolled over exactly at midnight.
(11/13)
It was time for tires, so I found new wheels as well, '02-04 RSX Type S ones. Same size, different offset (+45 as opposed to the Prelude's ridiculous +55). My stock mudflaps had been stolen in the second break-in, so I put on those stiff, drill-your-own RallyArmor flaps!

I got my chassis code as a vanity plate (thanks for the idea @hubrisdog.bsky.social). She was now officially the car I wanted to do everything in. I went to an autocross novice school, which hooked me! I autocrossed her, bone stock on 560tw all-seasons, for a few years before getting my CRX.

Upon realizing I already had the perfect car, I sold the VR-4 at a sizeable loss and started improving the Prelude, making it mine. The radiator sprung a leak, so I upgraded to aluminum. I upgraded the speakers from blown stock ones. I added a cabin air filter (97-98's didn't come with one).
(8/13)
It felt like a target now. Like anytime I left it, it would be stolen. So with that, and because I was young and dumb, I bought a '92 3000GT VR-4 and got WAY in over my head. I drove that for a couple of months before realizing my mistake IMMEDIATELY upon getting back in the Prelude.

But the honeymoon phase was cut short when it was broken into twice within the first year. First was just a smash-and-grab where they got my change cubby and not much else. The second was much worse. They tried to steal it and when they couldn't, stole everything that wasn't bolted down.

Being a comfortable grand touring car, it was a no-brainer to take on long trips. That first summer, I drove my coworker and I to the company lake party in Redding, CA. Zero hiccups, absolutely perfect for that kind of drive.

I had loved my Accord and it was a perfect *first* car, but the Prelude was a perfect car. It came with an absolute book of records. I was still in college at the time and drove it all around, to work, to visit my girlfriend (now wife!), and on trips. I just loved driving it.
(4/13)
At the beginning of June 2013, I test drove it, loved it, and bought it the next day. That very day, the mileage rolled over 126,000 miles. It was everything I wanted in a car: manual transmission, faster than the Accord, beauty, uniqueness and comfort.

This is the ad that started it all. I had been looking for a 5th gen Prelude after deciding that I wanted more than my first car, a 1991 Accord LX coupe automatic, could offer.

I have one in particular milestone from this weekend I'd like to highlight: I've put 100,000 miles on my 1997 Honda Prelude. I've owned her for almost 13 years and in that time, I've taken her from 126k to 226k.
What a journey it has been, and it only feels like the beginning.

Yeah, it took a bit to figure out the proper wording to explain what we were doing. Telling people "we're in town to see the big boy" sounded... weird.
"We're gonna see the big boy locomotive" wasn't any better.
So we just said "gonna see the train!"
Had a fantastic weekend hanging out with fellow furdad @rhexsnep.bsky.social and getting our kiddos together and seeing the BIGGEST of BOIS!!! 💪🚂🛤️
And yes I know exactly what you’re thinking: “Wow your kids look just like you!” I know, real chips off the old block 😊
Dude they were tracking the locomotive the whole way down the corridor! I wonder if it was a private craft or if the railroad runs it as a way to track the locos movement.
And charge they phone and eat hot chip and lie
