This vintage perfume bottle was a fun challenge to bring my rusty painting skills into my ceramics. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Like even if you don’t plan on offering to pay for it, the least someone can do is apologize and acknowledge it’s something handmade from a small artist. It was just so odd and while I wanted to follow them and say something my gut told me otherwise.

Last night while vending a couple came into the booth, dropped a magnet, and then LOOKED ME IN THE EYE giggled, and just walked off. In the past I haven’t asked people to pay for broken magnets because they are usually so apologetic but this honestly had me fuming that they didn’t even say sorry?!

I’d love to donate! I’ve been redirecting my rage into pots recently and have been wanting to be more proactive in giving back.

Still figuring out the best way to photograph these pieces for the next shop drop but I’m a more than a bit obsessed with how this one came out 🫠

Back on the gastropod game 🐌 first tray is post glaze firing, second is still greenware. Both will be available in the next shop update! I’m aiming to have everything posted by 2/10, subscribe to my newsletter for all the deets 🙃

For once I’m ahead of the game with valentines pots!
Any thoughts on cute slug sayings to put on the back of this mug?

This brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for the kind words! I have a few double walled mugs in the studio right now and am making more currently. I’m happy to send some photos of what I have now/expect to have in the coming weeks.

If there’s one thing I can look forward to in 2025, it’s wood firing (and taking more film photos at said wood firings)

These are so crisp! I’m curious what clear glaze you use?!

I’ve drawn inspiration from so many artists over the years & worried about the same thing! I’ve also had artists follow me and later start making work that looks similar to mine so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve found it’s best to be sturdy in what I want to create and insure that it feels true to me and my style.

My favorite painting professor in college said something similar once and it’s always stuck with me! We’re always going to draw inspiration from something and often times it may be another persons work. Inspiration and blatant copying are two different things.

Would you be open to sharing how you make a double walled teapot with a functional spout? It’s been on my project list for a while but I always get hung up when adding the spout!

Hello Bluesky! Why does coming to a new app and introducing myself feel just like walking into a party where I don’t know anyone? Anyways, my name is Réy and I’m a Colorado based ceramicist who makes weird shit that reminds me of plants and makes my brain happy.
