Yeah I think that was the last point where there was a potential branch to a different future for humanity, when communism was still a global thought. Now sadly even if the people rise and take revenge and set things on a better course I don't know even if there's time left to avert climate disaster

don't know anyone who is their own favourite artist that sounds like being able to suck your own dick. Cool for you but not of much value to others. Keep doing your thing, challenge yourself, never give up on what gives you meaning. If a single person has a better day bc of your art it's worthwhile

Capital doesn't have a human face, it is a cybernetic organism built out of market algos, it abstracts all human needs into a governance of extinction. We don't need for it to give us a living wage while the world dies, we need this organism dismantled so we can have a chance at any sort of future

nobody can really answer that for another but drawing something that's true to your emotions and your intellect can only be a benefit to others because they resonate with the truth in the art, they know this was necessary for another human at a glance, it makes them think about their own necessities

ok to be 100% serious with you, it doesn't really matter. This world is scary and every piece of art is a gift, not all of it has to appeal to my tastes. But I think it's part of growing for any artist to wrestle with this feeling of 'what else could I be doing?', it never really goes away.

I have this dichotomy in me. If you only draw 'cool' stuff, I am compelled to think you're not doing art, fully. Art is a more complete thing, difficulty, darkness, and abstraction and harder to parse emotions need to also be expressed.

If you only draw horny stuff tho, you're a 1000% artist to me.
