Waking up in Nevada, with the sun scorching down on you with a blood soaked bandage wrapped tightly around your skull would really put your life into perspective, I think.

Nowhere near to the evils of Fallout 3's possible "kill everyone in the wasteland" choices, but I absolutely love redemption stories of characters trapped in cycles of violence and revenge, before forcibly having to stop, and examine themselves and letting everything go.

It's probably narratively incomprehensible, and completely nonsensical to have someone so responsible for destroying an entire region just go "Y'know what, I'm turning a new leaf now" just because they forgot everything, but even *having* that freedom at all fascinates me in RPGs.

I kill everyone in the vault. I blow up Megaton. I'm consistently and easily the most outright evil person in the entire wasteland, but when I go to New Vegas, when I get shot in the head, I love having that just stop. My character, with no memory of who she was, becomes someone new.

Replaying Fallout 3 into New Vegas (TTW! Yay!) and I'm realizing just how much I really love split memory/amnesia narratives.

I love the sheer almost sandbox level of total evil you can be capable of in Fallout 3. Having New Vegas follow it via TTW is so fascinating.

The love and adoration for the Moon Child game I keep seeing is genuinely beautiful to me. Everyone just sees so much heart poured into something with an awesome soundtrack and they just love it.
