Got nothing but love for Church. His Springsteen ode is an all-timer.

Not that it matters, but Bruce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball is far superior to Miley's Wrecking Ball.

I was just about to go meet a buddy there at noon. Might need a plan B.

If it’s not caving the roof of the Metrodome amounts of snow, it’s probably not worth acknowledging, so I’ll just say no.

You know it's gonna be a good day when you get mentioned in the daily edition of Midwest Excellence.

I’m turning 40 later this month. It’s magical because the brain quietly deletes the file labeled “impress strangers” and you start saying things like:

“No, I’m not going out tonight.”
“That sounds loud.”
“Let’s eat at 5:15 so we beat the crowd.”

Maybe he thinks we're too "Inside Ball" and a lot of his followers wouldn't understand our sophisticated and nuanced approach to ball talk.

I had some life-altering tacos today from Taqueria La Hacienda. Locations in Richfield, Minneapolis and Burnsville. And yes, these would be worth the risk of going to Burnsville.

The wife and I are spending our anniversary at the Hewing Hotel at the end of the month. Never been. Any suggestions or recommendations in the neighborhood? We're more dive bar/arcade kinda people but want to do something nicer for the 'versary.

We are At War now, according to President Bush, and I take him at his word. He also says this War might last for "a very long time."
Generals and military scholars will tell you that eight or 10 years is actually not such a long time in the span of human history - which is no doubt true - but history also tells us that 10 years of martial law and a wartime economy are going to feel like a Lifetime to people who are in their twenties today. The poor bastards of what will forever be known as Generation Z are doomed to be the first generation of Americans who will grow up with a lower standard of living than their parents enjoyed.
That is extremely heavy news, and it will take a while for it to sink in. The 22 babies born in New York City while the World Trade Center burned will never know what they missed. The last half of the 20th century will seem like a wild party for rich kids, compared to what's coming now. The party's over, folks.

If you get skunked, don't over spend on resale. Resale prices always go down as the show gets closer and the are more tickets that get released. Keep on checking the site every day

My best friend Bruce is coming back to Minneapolis with all his band buddies. 42 days until Bruce show number 25. Not sure I'll get any sleep between now and then.
