Great post. Thanks for sharing! Will try this approach on a customer case I have been working on.

I have to use Windows as my main OS for the company, but would like to use Linux docker containers for development tests in BC, so more or less the opposite. Are there any discussion around that ? (Running BC services on Linux) Know that MS is working on it, but dont have the latest on that topic

20250127 - Grabbing BC artifacts in your pipelines via an Azure Function and how all of this works If you have worked with BC containers, you probably know that Microsoft provides the required artifacts through PowerShell cmdlets. But there is a more elegant way: Through the BC artifact URL proxy, a simple HTTP request is enough and to make it even easier for your pipeline runs, there is now also an Azure DevOps extension utilizing the proxy. In this session, the creators Arthur and Tobias will show you how all of that works, how you can incorporate it in your pipeline and how development (with a devcontainer / Github Codespace) and operations (with a containerized Azure Function) are set up. Nice, thanks!

It depends on how the rest of your logic is implemented, I would have some data validation per document so if something breaks, it would just stop. Somewhere, you need to handle the integration part. Perhaps logic apps outside of BC?

I need to replace a drive myself, know the feeling.

We have built different mappings, mostly generic to temp records, and then some logic processing from those records to bc documents. Sales orders and so on. I have also created a factory codeunit to return an interface with functions, to parse a xml/json documents like next node/child object.
