the way this makes sense for RFK is that "healthy people" and "sick people" are ontological categories.

This is a FRAUDULENT paper, AI-generated. My name was used as an author and I had nothing to do with it, never saw it until today e-pubmed.co.uk/journals/dig...
The "Editors" Angelo Rossi Mori, David Mensah, and Zarnie Khadjesari and this "Journal" should be reported.
The editorial director of the Washington Examiner published a piece celebrating the anniversary of Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech if you’re wondering how conservative media is doing these days
This is well put. I definitely agree!
Butterfly meme: is this . . . hope?
Reading my morning section’s responses to this evaluation was actually really heartening. These students had really thoughtful things to say about the dangers of AI, and how it can deprive them from opportunities to think for themselves and develop their own skills

Happy course evaluation day to all first-year writing instructors in 2026
As always w these conversations I am struck by how even in the *best case* scenario of these tools functioning as advertised (which does not seem likely) it's highly questionable that they would produce a future that is even desirable.
A lot of the new tools and processes appear to work best when an expert in the process being completed supervises or partners with one of these generative tools. That is not a useful classroom tool for most early or intermediate learners.
I think it's important to recognize that different processes move in different time-frames. You don't plant a seed and plan to harvest fruit from that plant on the same day. In this same way I don't think it makes sense to push the wrong tools on students at the wrong phase of their learning.
I'm not going to provide details, so don't ask. Nevertheless:
No, it is not OK to have one hallucinated cite. No, you can't delete that and expect me to take the rest of your work seriously. No, absolutely not. It should never ever happen.
Upper and middle management have hollowed out the academic mission of the university.
You can’t “do good work” or “make change” from a position that actively swallows that mission.
Don’t worry though it’s just laws
I’m also sorry that Tucker Carlson has been able to have a lucrative media career. I didn’t think we’d ever actually agree on something!
"I've found that a lot of AI is kind of slide-showy"
My 14 year old nails it.
Where the previous paradigm assumed students’ awareness of single task completion entering into broader systems, we may now need to teach students how to disintegrate their own train of thought from the automatic systems they generally experience.
Something I think about a great deal is that the use of digital tools (even down to word processing) now assumes that students are engaging a portal overflowing with distractions and prominently platformed aids and shortcuts to their work.
In the sane way a cellphone can now be assumed to be awash in dozens of notifications competing for the user’s attention, we can no longer assume that any digital assignment is free of the immense noise of modern techno-social infrastructure and its attendant ideologies.
My semester ends June 1 and I would like to nap until that time. Alas
Had to unlike this so I could like it again
received my nearly 2 year old’s daycare progress report and noted that it was generated via edtech platform software by a company called TeachingStrategies which I then discovered was bought by private-equity firm KKR in 2021.
