This week’s #ChartChat had @therachel.bsky.social taking us on a ramble, but not the kind where people talk aimlessly. Nay, this was a typically well-researched overview of ramblin’ songs. Delightful.
(Also am I the only one who thinks that Lego scam was kind of genius??)
That is involved yes
I had severe vertigo most of today and I remembered a close friend telling me about her vertigo recently, so I reached out and she FaceTimed me and taught me the Epley Maneuever. It fixed it like magic.
I grew up on Roosevelt Island and it is rimmed with cherry blossoms around the perimeter of the island which burst into life every April and it’s magical and special.

Met my extremely cool and fun and talented online friend @mattreid.bsky.social IRL and also got to hang out with a bunch of very cool artists and soak up their wisdom and general vibe. Great time! How do I get to know such cool people??
The brightness on my tv isn’t even that great (I did turn it up a bit in the image)- I saw the motion on the screen clear as day
This reminds me of a book my friend, the late animation scholar Hannah Frank, wrote about animation as a material art form

I am watching a thing for my podcast and noticed a glaring error
She’s a real pro. If I could get her to watch a Marvel movie I’d have her on mine but we all know that’s never going to happen. 😂
All my faves in a room together talking about a fantastic movie, what else can I ask for from a podcast
I am REALLY behind on my podcasts so just listening to this one which is just so so so fun and an all time episode of MvtM.
Do you guys think that in England they call it “Liza with a Zed”?
I agree with this
Shoutout to T-Mobile. When I called to cancel the support rep was courteous, friendly, professional, and was done in 5 minutes.
Unlike the Optimum rep I called last October who was nasty, insulting, rude, refused to cancel my service and kept me on the phone for 2 hours while I literally begged.
The Verizon Fios guy is here getting us back into the 21st century!
Goodbye T-Mobile 5G, thanks for tiding us over, and die forever, Optimum, I will never, ever work with you again.
The Sassy Magazine First Annual All-Star Junk Food Taste Off has lived rent-free inside my head since 1992 and I just want you all to know that it’s on archive.org:

The extent to which they've got nothing is so funny
This is an amazing picture to me because it was the worst summer of my childhood, really just a horrible dreadful summer but even through it I managed to find moments of fun because that’s all life really is, days of horror punctuated by moments of fun

Not the same situation at all. But fear and anxiety and grief and guilt all come up and makes everything harder.
Every cancer story is different and every person is different but my subconscious doesn’t know or care, my subconscious is mixing up my past experience with a person very close to me dying of cancer and my current situation of a person very close to me newly diagnosed with cancer.
