I suppose if Brentford, Brighton, Fulham & Newcastle all fail to win, the day can’t be all that bad!

Just need to make sure we turn up tomorrow and make that lot have it good and proper!!

Following the Derby on Sunday, is the Man City v Arsenal match, which will determine the eventual Champions.

Please @evertonfc.com @fanservices.evertonfc.com @evertonstadium.com will you keep the bars open to let us watch that game, with food and drinks available after the game?

You have articulated the phenomena better than me Geoff.

Nail. Head.

We should be different though.

We are Everton

Not in my experience Sean. Evertonian’s have filled every away end at every game this season and last. Supported the team through some abject performances but never stopped supporting.

At home, this season, it’s different. HD is not the same. Less passion. More whining. Just my opinion of course

I am obviously not saying all of the fans at home games are overly critical or prone to moaning merely that a significantly higher proportion than those that go home and away are. Most ‘away’ fans go to every home game too.

But the atmosphere, tolerance and level of support is markedly different.

😂😂 genius

The only reason they “ can’t sit” is because if they did, the fans would moan and criticise the players. You make the point perfectly

Well MR seems to notice the marked difference

No, of course it’s not all of the fans fault but those that moan and attack the confidence of young players, run off home at half-time if the team is losing, moan if a pass goes awry etc etc certainly don’t help.

It’s a game of opinions and this is mine. 👍🏼

It is. Obviously not everyone, but generally the home support at HD is not a patch on what it used to be. One could speculate as to why but the difference between now and a year or two ago is palpable. Intolerant. Esp of new or younger players and quick to judgement.

That’s just it Geoff. But if the team did this at home, they would be booed.

There is a reason for this.
Away, the supporters get behind the team, help them overcome their deficiencies or limitations, and fight with them as one.

At home, they criticise the younger players, disappear at half time if EFC not winning and whinge about everything “because they pay their money”

So @eplscores.bsky.social how is this going?

3 months ago 7 0 0 0

David Moyes for me. Whilst the last few weeks have been frustrating and infuriating, we have to appreciate where are and where we were last season. All in all his performance has been acceptable and he has the experience and know how to take us on for a while yet.

I have a controversial idea @fanservices.evertonfc.com

When “Rossie” announces the team, could he perhaps look at the screen so that the player he announces is in sync with image on the screen?

Either that or get a professional to do the job?

This for me today. A stronger bench with Rohl, Armstrong, Alcaraz, Keane & Beto gives the option for changes at 60-70 minutes, with half an eye on Wednesday. #UTFT

Yes. You’re right of course but why?

What does that add to the game? A player offside by such a margin does not gain any unfair advantage so why have the law?

4 months ago 0 0 1 0

I’m glad that Woltemade goal was allowed. I still find narrow offside decisions ruin the game. The offside law is there to prevent goal hanging.

The solution is to change the law.

A player is only offside if obviously offside to the naked eye (clear blue water) ANY doubt goes to the attacker

Interesting article, thanks. I have seen a few U21 games recently and agree with your assessment. Braiden Graham, with a few pounds added, is a player 💯👍🏼

Good job you weren’t at Stoke when Howard opened the window Brian! Or in the Street end at HT for the Bayern Munich semi final.
