I'm betting the right-wing gov and state legislature are going to try to find a way to convene a new state constitutional convention to get rid of all those pesky bits that give people serious rights that aren't in the US Constitution.

ICE detention conditions aren’t below the norm — that’s the norm. That’s what 2 million ppl and their families experience every day.

Rural places will get extra screwed by this. We already got screwed by the end of local cancellations (thanks anthrax scare). My local mail travels 3 hrs to a sorting center before getting postmarked and sent back. Sometimes it’s next day. Sometimes it’s a week later.

I loathe the guy. But source your accusation. Reliably, please. (And yes, I remember the Anita Hill travesty all too well.)

This story is horrific. Worth noting that Target is not the only retailer using AI for theft prevention. It’s an entire industry. And if you’re looking for alternatives that are safer to shop at in this regard, you’re very likely out of luck. Small, non-corporate businesses probably your best bet.
