Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

I stayed up entirely too late reading @tkingfisher.com ‘s Wolf Worm last night.
Highly recommend - it has me busting out my long neglected watercolors !
If you want to commission me you have to defeat my 7 evil regulars
Is...
"...disheveled shyboy dirtbag" a valid sexual preference
I like it, its much briefer that "Guy who gives off vibes that make me want to chase him around a Dairy Queen parking lot a 2:00 AM, knock him over, and sit on him"
I did get access to a lcs until I was 18! Even then, it was a 45 minute drive to get there.
Sailor Moon!
I grew up very rural - no lcs. The drug store briefly had Archie double digests and a short run of Knights into Dreams.
Then the neighboring town had a Suncoast Video, where I was able to grab volumes of Sailor Moon.

a peaceful brother for most of the year but an absolute terror during the annual abbey snowball fights

Blue toned pencil sketch with two pencils - one with multiple coloured leads in one barrel and one very bright pink mechanic pencil sat on top. The drawing itself is of a figurative female figure with eyed wings where her head would be and she is sitting on a glass fish tank, all underwater
Using some new art supplies to get started with my next @everydayoriginal.bsky.social due 1st May.

Well. I was planning to draw these colourful space villains for so long. What's even the point of gathering all that wealth when you don't care about your dress...

John Waters standing beside a wall with a sign that says: The John Waters Restrooms. All Gender. Not my photo.
In 2000, John Waters donated 372 pieces of his art collection to the Baltimore Museum of Art. They named a rotunda after him in their gallery. He requested an all-gender restroom be named for him instead. #BOTD
You’re still drawing. That’s the important part.
You’re doing it though! You’re always getting something up, and that’s in spite of algorithms and everything else - it’s so goddamn cool!
The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly, Roy.
It’s why fast sketches and sticky notes are common with me - trying to eke out 5-20 min here and there. It’s disappointing - I spend so much time longing to draw but am usually too exhausted to do so.
LRT - comics are HARD! There is so much time that goes into making them - I’m always impressed by folks that keep on grinding away at it. Hero shit!
I’m still fighting the balance of making time. Working 40+ hours full time, having a kid, and making time for friends? My art gets dropped first.
-Never underestimate how hard it will be even though anyone can make a comic.
-Learn basics about every step, it’ll make you a better collaborator.
-Adding to that, get Nate Pieko’s Essential Guide to Comic Book Lettering. Also get Lynda Barry’s Making Comics for a healthier creative mindset.
A sketch drawing/self portrait of a dress I hope to thrift this summer. I already have the jacket and boots.
My summer goal is to thrift a dress with animal print to go with my patch jacket and boots. The ideal will be tiger print, but I’ll accept leopard.
"Ha ha I'm just one of the guys, really" No, you are not, and you never will be. All they bestow, they can revoke, and the moment you're an inconvenience, they will.
drawing of a female figure with green hair, a purple robe, yellow eyes and a grim smile summoning skull phantom. a skeleton is behind her holding her shoulder. a castle is on the background, just the sillhoutte. a yellow frame on the background
Necromancer 💀🧙
I’m fuckin’ hype for a new season of Dorohedoro. I love the comic 💕
Q Hayashida is so damn good at making these colorful and filthy environments and characters.
A photo of a large page filled with pen sketches - messy and largely 3/4th busts
A sketch of Morganna the Kissing Bandit - a notorious cryptid from the baseball yesteryears
Extremely rough comic page discussing my current mental health. Currently cleaning this up to be something - I have a fraught history with therapy. I know there are amazing therapists out there, I’m just capped by time, money, and location.
A photo of my beloved Adora on her outside harness. On warm days I bring her outside with me where she may safely patrol my area on her lead.
In spite of it all I’m still here. Still busy as all hell, but that’s just how it goes sometimes.
The weather is slowly getting better in MN, and every nice day I’m running off to the woods or out garden planning and managing seedlings.
I also got to have fun with friends all weekend long!
A bracelet composed of 9 baby shrews and their mom with examples of the behaviour in real animals. There is a little shrew doodle (shrewdle) that is saying "do you see the vision?"
An idea that has been rattling around in my brain. Baby shrews will grasp the base of the tail of their mom/siblings to create these caravans to prevent anyone from getting lost when their nest is disturbed. It may also be used to help babies familiarize themselves with the world beyond their nest.

Ruri Hoshino and Yurika Misumaru
Sure I love Frieren and Fern
I’m always aware of their weight - I can come very close to ignoring them, and some are lighter than others (like the clusters with adhesive strips). I used to be the magnetic ones, so the lighter ones feel like a miracle in comparison.
