They released them up river from here and they're gradually colonising further away. It's lovely to see.

Awww that's gorgeous! Keep going lovely xx
No, not at all - just ideas really. Nothing definite though.
Some have done this - but again, it's just adding work for cash strapped museums.
The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery We are delighted to announce that The Friends of The Potteries Museums & Art Gallery, helped by generous public donations, have raised Β£10,000 towards the acquisition Ellastone Dress Fastener. Thank you everyone who has donated towards this fantastic milestone. We are now closing this strand of the funding campaign.
Some great news - thank you to everyone who contributed their hard earned cash!
(Just a reminder that had the finder/ landowner donated the dress fastener, it would have cost Β£0 instead of Β£150,000...)

This is wonderful. I got to know George over my years in the Prehistoric Society - he was always a kind and lovely person and a fabulous prehistorian.
I'm glad his library has been preserved. π

The chalk river Ver looking lovely on a sunny day. Nettles, trees and reeds are growing on the banks.
In my happy place looking for water voles!βοΈπ
We're finding so much evidence of these gorgeous furry critters, who were released about 6 miles away and who have slowly but surely made their way down stream... β€οΈ

Teeny vase of purple violets. The whole filled vase is onto a couple of inches tall
Honestly, 2026 is throwing everything it can at me, so I'm going with small wins and lovely things to try and keep me on an even keel.
Today it's the teeniest bouquet of miniature violets and a day by the river, in the sunshine, looking for vole poo...
π€£π€£π€£ Step away from the liquor!!
Noooooo... the just cherry picked nice sites!!
And they wonder why the toilets mysteriously block and there's a fire in the laundry... π€
No idea tbh... there's no record of him adding a plinth, and that's definitely 'not original' - could be either as he both planted and faked, but would need a statuette expert to decide, I think.
A couple of folks, I showed the photos to, weren't convinced it was real.
That's nothing to the 'oh, look what I just happened to find at the end of my garden!!' 'Roman' Hercules statue discovery made by a certain Mr Harry Price...
Modesty intact on this one though!!

Probably not, likely just to be the end of a hammered wire (they trend to be rounded).
