Mark your calendars @everyone!

As the year winds down, we’d love to gather together for Resistance & Snacks: Holiday Edition—a cozy, joyful night of community and connection. We’ll look back on the highlights and wins from this past year, celebrate how far we’ve come, and take a peek at what’s ahead in 2026 as we start gearing up for the midterms.

RSVP Here: https://mobilize.us/s/3pxx3A

There will also be plenty of time for casual hangout vibes: games, conversation, and holiday nibbles with people who make this work meaningful.

Bring:
  A snack to share
  Your most festive cozy vibes
A donation to support our community (See below for needed items):

December Giveback: Care, Food & Conversations (CFC)

We’re supporting CFC: Direct Relief Mobile Outreach, which meets houseless neighbors across Grand Junction with food, care items, and—most importantly—human connection. When we share stories and sustenance, barriers soften. Food heals.

Most-needed donations (easy sack-lunch & care items):
-Protein bars/shakes, crackers, canned tuna/chicken/cheese/crackers
-Peanut butter, cheese & crackers, single-serve fruit/applesauce
-Bottled water, single-serve juice or sports drinks
-Instant coffee, tea, powdered milk, sugar packets
-Bread, lunch meat
-Feminine products, toothbrushes/toothpaste, dry soap
-Cold-weather gear: beanies, gloves, socks, hand warmers, Mylar blankets

Bonus: single-serve wet pet food (easy-open tops), plastic utensils/cups

Have questions? Reach out to Red at UnityCouncil@protonmail.com

Come for the snacks. Stay for the resistance. Leave with a full heart.

Today is a great day to spend time with your friends and family, do something good for your community, or shop at local, Black and immigrant-owned small businesses.

Skip the Target run, Home Depot christmas tree, or Amazon binge. Tell Trump enablers that #WeAintBuyingIt
