Jones Goods is (supposedly) arriving today! Stay tuned!

Glad the glitching from yesterday is done, since I’m happy to announce I ordered a highland railway jones goods by Rapido Trains!
The jones goods is a prototype I’ve been wanting for a while now, OO scale or otherwise, so I’m proud to own the model that Rapido did of them a while back!
We don’t call them Scottish Legends for no reason.
During the 60s, many of our Scottish Legends completed railtours in pairs, wowing crowds of devoted fans. One such tour in June of 1962 saw ‘Gordon Highlander’ and the ‘Jones Goods’ working in tandem. What a sight and sound this must have been!
The Standing Stones in the Railway Series, as depicted by Clive Spong
Given my affinity for the Southern Railway, the standing stones near Kildane would work perfectly on a thematic level!
We don’t see Cronk and Kildane all that much in the Railway Series, let alone the whole franchise but it’s always been implied that the towns are an industrial hotbed and since they’re the midpoint for the railway, I’m sure they also have some impressive engine sheds. Tons of great scenes to model!
Was talking about this w my dad yesterday and I decided that if I were to do a OO scale NWR-inspired layout I’d want to replicate the line from Cronk/Kildane to Vicarstown
I actually got a Bachmann OO Thomas! Had it since 2011 but I’d be open to doing an unlucky tug-esque realistic take on Thomas as a future kitbash project
If you have Angelfire or Tripod webpages, or Angelfire email, back it up now. A shutdown within the next 27 days is coming but they have not given us an exact time yet.
Come to think of it, I’d be down for doing something similar to The Unlucky Tug’s former OO layout that’s meant to be inspired by the North Western Railway but isn’t meant to actually be it. Helps keep my options open!
London Underground station sign for Waterloo.
Exterior of Waterloo Station in London, England.
What really cements my love for the Southern Railway/BR Southern Region is going to Bluebell and also being the first member of my immediate family to travel to Waterloo Station via train.
The only other big terminus stations my family have been to are Kings Cross and Paddington!
Not sure what region of Great Britain a hypothetical OO layout of mine would model as I’m kinda torn between Southern England or Central Scotland
There have been some banger Scottish-centric OO releases and announcements lately that speak to my family’s Scottish roots.
Figured it would be a nice little side project while I’m working on one involving American railroads.
I’ll always love the railroads of my home country, but the UK’s railways have always been a favorite of mine because of my British heritage on both sides of my family.
A OO scale model of an LSWR O2 and Southern Railway West Country Pacific
Welp, I’ve decided to get into OO scale!
Went to England for the first time a few days ago and when I was at the Bluebell Railway, I saw the Hornby West Country in stock for 105 quid and got her as well as the O2
This!!!! I’ve managed to get o scale brass engines by Williams and Weaver at a fraction of the price that vision line and premier MTH engines go for nowadays
As much as I love RMT, nothing is better than finding an NIB scale weaver freight car from the 90s/2000s for $20-$25 at a train show
Given that WoS draws influences from the CGI, Model, and RWS, I could see them adding in the Peel Godred Branch as it appears in Haunted Henry.
Maybe if we get Henry DLC they’d add that in as a little bonus?
Thankfully that hasn’t been a thing in the fan series I’ve watched, but referencing stuff like TikTok memes and Patrick saying con-crete! just feel like a cheap way to get a laugh, esp since the latter was always a bit of a forced meme
Thought that was linkara for a moment
I’m all for Thomas fan stories having humor but there’s something unbearable and annoying about ones that reference internet memes and in-jokes within the fandom
Your OCs never miss! Janet looks great and I can’t wait to see her in your series.
Counselor: These feelings of "everything sucks," how long have you had them? Butt-head: Uhh, since everything started to suck, I guess.
Here it is, your moment of zen.

Drawing of Guy looking at innocent kid and saying “I fucking hate you and I hope you die”
Every time I see a conservative pundit reply to a tweet from the Elmo twitter account, it /always/ boils down to this meme
At least you didn’t have to carve out a whole n scale quarry with a heat knife
Easily one of the worst smells of my entire life
If Duke ends up returning I’m gonna cry tears of joy
He’s in the portrait in sir topham hatt’s room in one of the new playsets
Wait so they actually reference Duke in one of the 2026 Thomas reboot toys?
I’m not a /super/ huge expert on the British preservation scene, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a lot of major variables that led to the scrapping of nearly all the A3s, like what happened with the New York central hudsons
I’m surprised that no one’s wanted to do a new build project for another A3.
Ik we got the flying Scotsman, but given how popular they are, you’d think there’d be a group in the UK expressing interest in building another one.
